The PlayStation Store is having a big sale starting February 21st called Big in Japan, which will feature a whopping 500 items discounted up to 70%. Running until March 6th, owners of PlayStation 3, 4, and Vita are bound to find something to suit their tastes in the US version of the sale. Meanwhile, the UK version will only offer PlayStation 4 titles and feature 300 games.
For example, the Kingdom Hearts All In One Package is down to $29.99 from $99.99 - a discount of 70%. Other titles include NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition (was $39.99, is now $19.99 - 50% discounted), Code Vein (was $59.99, is now $35.99 - 40% discounted), and Fire Pro Wrestling World Deluxe Edition (was $89.99, is now $26.99 - 70% discounted).
The list hosts plenty of other well-known titles, like Devil May Cry 5, Yakuza 6, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, along with Dragon Quest XI, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, and Dark Souls III. The list is full of other, lesser known titles as well, and at the price they're going for, many of them will be worth picking up just to try something new and possibly different.
This sale comes hot on the heels of another recent one, which ended February 18th, called the Critics' Choice Sale. If you missed a title in that sale, tough luck - none were repeated in the more recent one. While the Critics' Choice Sale was geared towards people who may have missed the train for the most critically acclaimed games of the last year, the Big in Japan sale is better suited for players who always wanted to try a Japanese title but never had an incentive - and everyone knows savings are the best incentive there is.
Meanwhile, PS Plus members will have free access to BioShock: The Collection in the month of February. The collection includes remastered versions of all three games in the franchise, as well as The Sims 4 and PlayStation VR title Firewall Zero Hour. All in all, digital game sales have overtaken physical sales in 2019, and it's easy to see why - with the convenience of digital copies and sales such as these available globally, there is very little reason to buy physical games. Plus, you save on space.
The PlayStation Store's Big in Japan sale runs from February 21 until March 6, 2020.
