Like humans, Pokemon can come in many shapes and sizes. It's hard to believe that there are over 900 creatures in the National Pokedex, but each one has its own abilities and appearances that make them unique from one another.

Every Pokemon stands out for different reasons, but some of them are easily recognized by their luscious locks. It must be difficult to find time for a proper hair care routine between training sessions, but some Pokemon can effortlessly maintain their natural hairstyles without the use of fancy and expensive products. If you're looking to form a party of naturally stylish Pokemon with sleek hair, these are the ones that should make the cut.

10 Rillaboom

Rillaboom plays the drums in a forest

If you have ever been to a rock concert or festival, Rillaboom's hairstyle might look familiar. Drummers like Keith Moon or Animal from Sesame Street keep their hair long, mostly so they can headbang to their favorite tracks, and Rillaboom keeps that trend alive in the world of Pokemon.

It can also be difficult to find the right time for a haircut when you are on tour or taking on the Galar Pokemon League. It's difficult to imagine Rillaboom without any hair whatsoever and, like many other drummers, it might be powerless without it.

9 Cinccino

Cinccino smiles while sparkling

It usually takes a ton of conditioner and product to keep your hair soft and shiny, but Cinccino doesn't need anything extra to keep its hair healthy and clean. Not only does Cinccino's hair repel dust and dirt from sticking to its body, but it's also used during battles to keep the tiny critter safe from harm.

Cinccino's fur naturally creates an oil that protects it from enemy attacks and makes it easier for it to escape unwanted confrontations. The oil makes its fur incredibly soft to touch and keeps it healthy enough so Cinccino can use it as a fashionable scarf.

8 Toxtricity

Amped Form Toxtricity after evolving, Gigantamax Toxtricity prepares to strike, Low Key Toxtricity after evolving

Toxtricity is known as the Punk Pokemon, and the hairstyles on both forms are perfect reflections of the culture. The different styles of mohawks, alongside their spiked bracelets and rebellious demeanor, help make both Low Key and Amped Toxtricity look like lost members of The Clash.

The electricity running through their hair is also one of the main power sources for Toxtricity's ability to generate the sounds of electric and bass guitars. The Gigantamax version features both of Toxtricity's hairstyles on one Pokemon, and it absolutely rocks.

7 Alolan Dugtrio

Alolan Dugtrio pops out of the ground in a grassy field

It's hard to look at Alolan Dugtrio and not think of the late-90s band Hanson. Each one of Dugtrio's heads features a different type of haircut composed of thin strands of steel that protect them from other Pokemon and also help them detect vibrations from objects that are miles away.

Alolan Dugtrio's flowing locks also allow it to dig through thick materials like bedrock, essentially making it the Pokemon version of the monster from Tremors. It's not the kind of hair that you can run your fingers through, but it's nice to know that some time under the Alolan sun can help any Pokemon grow a head (or three) of stunning hair.

6 Primarina

Primarina prepares for battle in a crowded stadium

It can be difficult to maintain proper hair care as a performer, but Primarina's flowing locks are consistently radiant. According to the Ultra Sun Pokedex entry, Primarina views every battle as a performance, and it wouldn't be great to have frizzy hair distracting the audience.

Its blue hair is usually held together by a couple of pearl hair ties, but certain moves like Sparkling Aria remove them and allow Primarina's hair to really come to life. There is no practical use to the hair itself, but it's an essential part of the performer's aesthetic.

5 Mawile

Mawile stands on a dirt path and Mega Mawile prepares to attack

Tons of Pokemon have sharp haircuts, but few are as sharp as the metallic teeth protruding from Mawile's ponytail. While the mouth on the back of Mawile's head is actually steel horns that have transformed over time, its placement makes it look like a vicious ponytail that can bite through iron with ease.

Is there anything better than a Pokemon with a homicidal ponytail? Oh right, Mawile's Mega form has two carnivorous mouths to feed! The powerful jaws can turn boulders to dust, and Mawile's ability to control each of them independently makes them even more lethal. If Mawile calls your salon to book an appointment, it might be a good idea to refer them elsewhere.

4 Meloetta

Aria Meloetta sits on a roack and Pirouette Meloetta stands on one leg

Meloetta is known as the Melody Pokemon and its appearance is entirely based on musical symbols such as quarter notes and treble clefs. One of its most prominent features is its long hair which resembles a musical measure with whole notes streaked throughout.

Like Primarina, Meloetta is a performer who inspires many with their presence. If Meloetta uses its Relic Song attack, it transforms into its Pirouette Form that changes both the color and style of its hair. It's not as memorable as the original style, but it improves its reputation as one of the most elegant Pokemon of the fifth generation.

3 Bouffalant

An Axew pops its head out of Bouffalant's hair

Not only does Bouffalant's hair distinguish itself from other bovine-based Pokemon, but it's also the only afro hairstyle on any Pokemon. It looks amazing, and it's also an essential asset to Bouffalant during battles and while traveling with its herd.

Bouffalant can use its hair to reduce damage from enemy attacks as well as offensively with its devastating Head Charge. The amount of hair on a wild Bouffalant reveals its status within its herd, but the Pokemon must be careful within its community. If a Bouffalant betrays its group, it mysteriously loses all of its hair, making it as bald as a Ditto.

2 Hisuian Zoroark

Hisuian Zoroark roars during a snowy night

Zoroark already had an amazing hairdo before its Hisuian form was revealed. Its long hair was eloquently tied into a ponytail, but its alternative appearance lets the flowing locks loose for a look that feels ready to be featured in a shampoo commercial.

In a pretty dark twist, Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark are reincarnations of a species that wasn't able to survive the region's brutal temperatures. The Ghost-type Pokemon were reborn through their hatred of essentially everything and use their mystical powers to taunt humans and other Pokemon. After keeping their hair tied-up up before perishing, it makes sense that Zoroark would finally decide to unleash its curls from their mortal coil.

1 Mega Ampharos

Mega Ampharos stands in a massive field

Ampharos is a powerful Electric-type Pokemon without hair, but after turning into Mega Ampharos it feels like going from zero to hero. Its magnificent wool flows gracefully even without wind and transforms a relatively average-looking Pokemon into a star.

Ampharosite — the item that allows Ampharos to change form — is like a hair growth serum that actually works. The process stimulates its genes so the wool it used to have as a Mareep regrows over its body. Ampharos is stronger than ever with its awakened fleece and will easily claim the top prize when the series inevitably introduces a hair competition mechanic in one of its upcoming games.
