Once you find a player willing to trade, you can enter a Pokemon Center and go down the escalator. Speak with the Nurse in the middle of the counter to enter the trading room. If you're trading with a local player, you need to use the escalator that moves upstairs when you enter a Pokemon Center. Interact with the player, and you can choose any Pokemon to trade.
