Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl aren't known for being the most polished games of 2021. Sure, plenty of games in the series have had some pretty notorious glitches, but this was something else. From trading, surfing, and even using the calculator, almost every aspect of gameplay can be bugged or exploited in some way.

The developers were quick to patch out the trading exploit, however, since this could be used to duplicate Pokemon. But try as they might, it looks like one patch won't be enough to get rid of this bug for good, as players have already found another way to fill your PC full of legendaries.

This find comes courtesy of Pokemon YouTuber, Blaines, who has shared a guide on how to pull the trick off. It's fairly complicated, so it might take you a few tries, but once you get it going you can easily duplicate an entire box of Pokemon in just a few clicks.

Without going over all the steps, it involves spamming buttons so you can have multiple menus open at once - ones that you're absolutely not supposed to have open at the same time. Eventually, you can have two PC boxes open simultaneously, and moving Pokemon in one of them will cause them to duplicate in the first. They will also come with dupes of any items they're holding, in case you also fancy destroying the local economy while you're at it.

Nintendo is likely to roll out a patch for this soon, so you better have your fun with it while you can. But even when duping is gone, there's still plenty of bugs to try out if you're looking to play a little unconventionally. In fact, the game is so buggy that speedrunners are already beating the game a lot faster than the originals, with the time now down to 15 minutes, 22 seconds. Not bad for less than a month since launch.
