Pokémon Center London opens this week and will feature a rather smart-looking Pikachu as well as a bunch of other exclusive Pokémon goodies.
The release of Pokémon Sword and Shield is fast approaching. In fact, it is less than a month until the much-anticipated game hits store shelves. To celebrate the release of Sword and Shield, Pokémon is opening a pop-up shop in London. Or a Pokémon Center, as it has been dubbed. The center opens on October 18, 2019, in Westfield London and will remain open until November 15, 2019—the release date of Sword and Shield. So once Pokémon fans are done shopping, they can all go home and play their new games.
But what will make this particular Pokémon center so special? Well, for starters, Pikachu is all dressed up for it, as you can see above courtesy of Nintendo Life. A suit and tie clad Pikachu is emblazoned on the shop front complete with an umbrella sporting a Psyduck handle. If those umbrellas aren't on sale in the shop itself, we might well get a Psyduck-style headache.
Even better, the dapper Pikachu will be on sale from the store in the form of a plushy, and yes it does have a mini version of that very same umbrella. There will also be a bunch of other products on sale that will be exclusive to Pokémon Center London. A Pokémon London City Pin badge featuring Pikachu, a set of Pokémon Trading Card Game London City Sleeves, and a London City Playmat featuring Pikachu, Mewtwo, and Mew.
If you're going to be in London at any point in the next four weeks then you'd be a fool not to pay the Center a visit, even if it's just to pick yourself up one of those Pikachu plushes. Plus, if none of the above tickles your fancy, there will be all sorts of other Pokémon goodies on sale. Make the most of it, as this might be the only time a shop like this appears in the UK.
