Pokemon is getting a cookbook. Well, another cookbook. Whereas previous Pokemon cookbooks were more concerned with turning food into Pokemon, this latest cookbook is more concerned with turning Pokemon into food.

My Pokemon Cookbook: Delicious Recipes Inspired by Pikachu and Friends is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Shipping October 25 and priced at $27.99, these delicious and nutritious recipes all have Pokemon names and mostly the same color palettes, but the idea here is for these recipes to be real dishes first and foremost.

For example, the “Charizard” is basically spaghetti arrabbiata. It has four to six Calabrian chile peppers and a teaspoon of dried chili flakes, so it’ll be pretty spicy--the perfect match for the fiery Charizard. The rest of it is a pretty standard tomato sauce with San Marzano tomatoes, olive oil, tomato paste, and shredded Pecorino Romano.

The "Gengar," on the other hand, is a yogurt fruit bowl full of blended blueberries and blackberries for that deep purple hue. It uses frozen berries so it’s cold, but the granola is baked in the oven using chopped walnuts, pecans, dried cherries and blueberries, and a mixture of honey, sugar, and spices. Add shredded coconut flakes for garnish, and serve.

Each dish has a prep time, a cook time, a difficulty rating, a list of ingredients, and easy-to-follow directions all on a single page. And the four dishes previewed on Amazon are all solid, healthy options too.

You can get the hardcover book alone or as part of a gift set that includes a Pokemon apron. The perfect gift idea for the at-home chef and Pokemon lover in your life.

In other Pokemon news, fans recently discussed what it would take to finally kill the franchise. Forced Nuzlockes sounds like a great idea to me, but I can see why it wouldn’t be for everyone.
