Also known as Fakemon, fan made Pokémon have been in creation for a long time. Are we ever going to see one in a game? Probably not. But who truly knows what the future holds? The entire world will never run out of design ideas for this popular franchise.

Fakemon is a fun fan idea. Just create your own Pokémon! What type is it? What would its dex entry be? It doesn't even have to be too original, as you can make fan-made evolutions, Mega-Evolutions, and more. Here are ten Fakemon that we loved. Please check out the links, as they go the artists' page and they deserve credit for their art.

10 Silvyx

This Fakemon, along with many more on this list, was created by Smiley-Fakemon. Their Deviantart page is entirely dedicated to these amazing Fakemon designs.

This design is Bug and Fairy, obviously. While there are already moth Pokémon in the games, we really love this one. According to Smiley-Fakemon, this design is the third in a evolution line. Its species is also the "Silk Pokémon."

9 A Different Water Starter

Designing a fake starter line is pretty ambitious, but also popular among the Pokémon fandom. This particular evolution line was made by SteveO126. Like Smiley-Fakemon, they also do a done of Fakemon designs.

We really wish Capribah was real. Its so cute! We also love the artists' descriptions of them on their Deviantart page. Capribah is the "Bubble Coat Pokémon," Surfleece is the "Wave Pokémon," and Capristine is the "Pacific Pokémon."

8 Flambear

By Smiley-Fakemon, this Fire-Type bear is even more cute than the bear Pokémon that already exist within the games. There are a decent amount of bear Pokémon that already exist, but none of them are Fire-Type!

According to the artist, Flambear live in caves in order to prevent forest fires. They are highly flammable creatures and can learn moves such as Iron Head, Fire Fang, Bulk Up, and Thunder Fang.

7 Brugburn

Smiley-Fakemon also made a evolution for Flambear, Brugburn! It goes from Fire-Type to Ghost and Fire-Type and is called the "Burned Down Pokémon." We especially love the artists' fan-made dex entry for Brugburn. They wrote, "Brugburn inherit ghostly abilities once evolved. A tale tells of a hunter turning a Flambear into a rug, only to have his house burned down the following night, after which a Brugburn emerged from the ashes."

That is pretty dark, and we love it. It fits right into how a lot of Ghost-Type dex entries are written. It also world-builds by creating more Pokémon folklore.

6 Goosh

A cute name to match a cute design! Goosh is another Smiley-Fakemon design that we fell in love with. It is Water and Flying-Type and is called the "Gosling Pokémon." It is the first design of a three-part evolution line. As you may already have guessed, yes, its final evolution resembles a swan. The artist wrote potential moves Goosh can learn such as Rain Dance, U-Turn, Hurricane, Scald, and Hydro Pump.

We love this design way more than the duck Pokémon, Ducklett. This version looks more creative, adorable, and memorable.

5 Jugglhare

This Fakemon was made by 50shadesofHeliolisk. It is Fire and Fairy-Type and appears to be an idea for a starter and is the final evolution of the Fire-Type line. It looks a little like a mix between Delphox and Lopunny. We love the design and idea behind this Fakemon. It appears to juggle parts of its fluffy black tail which is smoke. There now is a Fire-Type rabbit starter in the Sword and Shield games, but this one is also pretty cool.

The artist also draws a lot of fan-made Gym Leaders. Check them out!

4 Windora

Smiley-Fakemon re-designed this Fakemon which originally came from Carol2015. According to the original artist, Windora is the "Wind Pixie Pokémon" and is Flying and Water-Type. Though since types of been updated, maybe they would change it to Fairy-Type now.

Its design makes Windora look like it could be a legendary Pokémon. It could even be part of a legendary trio like Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. According to Carol2015 though, it is just a rare Pokémon. It definitely looks mystic with its glowing golden eyes and cloud-like details. Under its abilities, the artist wrote that it could know Rain Dish, Fairy Aura, and Speed Boost.

3 Shamurell

This lemur-like Fakemon design is another from 50shadesofHeliolisk. The artist also designed two of its pre-evolutions: Leeve and Muroom. It appears to be a Grass-Type starter Fakemon and it becomes both Grass and Psychic-Type.We definitely love this design more than the the monkey-like starter from Sword and Shield. Sorry Grookey, but this Fakemon just looks more majestic.

Not all starters remain cute after they evolve all the way, but this one certainly does. We especially love its long leafy tail. Unfortunately, it is not in the realm of canon Pokémon.

2 Ojoro

This long-tailed Normal-Type Fakemon is another from Smiley-Fakemon. Every generation has its mouse and rat-like Pokémon. This is because of Pikachu's intense popularity. So it is easy to imagine this Fakemon in a Pokémon game.

Obviously, the artist suggested that this Fakemon would know a lot of moves with "tail" in their names such as Tail Slap, Aqua Tail, Iron Tail, and U-Turn. They also wrote that the tail of this Fakemon can grow up to ten times its own body length and that it is loved by trainers for being docile.

1 Mega Bellossom

As mentioned at the beginning of this article, not all Fakemon are purely original. Some are other evolution ideas, such as Mega-Evolution. This design for a Mega Bellossom was made by Smiley-Fakemon. They have made a lot of other Mega-Evolution Fakemon as well such as Mega Drifblim, Mega Froslass, Mega Venomoth, Mega Cradily, and so much more.

According to the artist, the Mega version of Bellossom dances at a much slower and more graceful pace.
