Pokemon Go recently introduced an update to Mega Evolutions; massively changing how they function within this game. To celebrate this, they will be hosting an in-game event, titled Go Battle Day: Stardust Surprise; offering Trainers new features and sizable bonuses.
For the one day of May 29, Trainers will be able to use Mega-Evolved Pokemon in the Go Battle League. This feature only being available in the Master League, Trainers can enjoy this unique experience in addition to several in-game bonuses during the event. Here's everything you need to know to maximize the benefits provided during this one-day event.
Go Battle Day: Stardust Surprise - Bonuses
Due to this event centering around Trainer Battles, the active bonuses focus on the Go Battle League and its rewards. Instead of being limited to five battle sets per day, Trainers will be able to complete 20 battle sets during the day of this event; adding up to a total of 100 battles.
Pairing well with the previous bonus, Trainers will receive four times the Stardust during this event for winning battles in the Go Battle League. Make sure to log in and battle in the Go Battle League when possible during this event to earn increased rewards and Stardust.
Go Battle Day: Stardust Surprise - Avatar Rewards
During this event, there will be an avatar item rewarded to players who complete a battle set. Earned from completing a set at any rank, Trainers will receive the Gladion's Pants avatar cosmetic item. Unfortunately, Trainers who have already obtained this item as a rank 20 reward will not receive another or any other rewards in place of this.
Completing a battle set requires Trainers to play five battles in a row, a task that proves to be difficult at times. Make sure to utilize Mega-Evolved Pokemon to enhance your team's power and increase your chances of victory when battling in the Master League and earning this event rewards.
Go Battle Day: Stardust Surprise - Active Competitions
During the day of this event, there will be three active competitions available in the Go Battle League:
- Great League
- Ultra League
- Master League
Each of these leagues possess different battle requirements, so make sure to form an acceptable team for these varying competitions. Although Mega-Evolved Pokemon can only be used when battling in the Master League, all event rewards and bonuses remain active when battling in the other two leagues as well.
