Yes, you can get a Shiny Snorunt, Shiny Glalie, and Shiny Froslass in Pokemon Go, and if you’re lucky enough to catch the right Snorunt, you can pick one of these Pokemon to evolve it into. With some work.

Yes Snorunt is one of those Pokemon that has two potential evolution paths to take, and the methods for achieving each are different in Pokemon Go when compared to the main games. As a result, you’ll need to keep a few things in mind if you specifically want to evolve a Froslass or a Glalie.

In this guide we’re going to break down how to guarantee evolving Snorunt into either Glalie or Froslass, and how you can get a chance of catching a Shiny Glalie right now in Pokemon Go.

How To Evolve Snorunt Into Froslass Or Glalie In Pokemon Go

Snorunt may have two paths for evolution, but will only evolve once, excluding Mega Evolution. This means that whatever you evolve your Snorunt into, you will not be able to go back, and there’s no hope of further evolutions of changes past that point.

But luckily that shouldn’t be necessary, as Glalie and Froslass are both very, very cool (ice type joke) and will be excellent additions to your team. Now, if you do manage to catch a Shiny Snorunt, your options for evolution will actually be limited. Unfortunately, Froslass can only be evolved from a Female Snorunt, meaning that even if you get lucky enough to find a Shiny Snorunt, your options for evolution may be limited before you’ve even checked their stats.

Here are all of the evolution methods for Snorunt.

  • Snorunt > 100x Snorunt Candy > Glalie
  • Female Snorunt > 100x Snorunt Candy + Sinnoh Stone > Froslass

In addition to catching an elusive female Snorunt, you’ll also need an extra Sinnoh Stone in your bag in order to evolve it into Froslass. You can earn Sinnoh Stones by completing weekly challenges and milestones, like visiting PokeStops.

How To Catch Shiny Glalie In Pokemon Go Right Now

If you jump into Pokemon Go right now you might notice a massively boosted chance of seeing Glalie available in three-star Raid Battles. This is for good reason, of course, and these Glalie are much more likely to be Shiny than ever before.

If you’re close to level 40, then you can probably take out a three-star Glalie raid by yourself, but you’ll need to take in the right team of Pokemon. As an Ice type, Glalie will be very weak against Fire, Fighting, and Rock type attacks, so if you can stack a party with your strongest Pokemon of those types, you should be able to take down a Glalie raid solo.

If you’ve still got Rhyperior and Machamp from previous events, those will be massive assists in taking down Glalie.
