Pokemon Go is collaborating with the Pokemon Trading Card Game and its latest expansion, featuring new Pokemon Go-themed trading cards for this set. To celebrate this, Pokemon Go will be hosting an event to recognize this exciting collaboration.

Taking place from Thursday, June 16 to Thursday, June 30, this limited-time event will offer players several bonuses and rewards. Presenting players with a handful of new and exciting experiences, Trainers will see a change in their typical Pokemon Go experience during the Pokemon Go: TCG Crossover Event. Maximize your time while this event is still active, using all the necessary information provided below.

Pokemon Debuts

The Pokemon Go TCG Crossover Event will mark the debuts of three Pokemon in Pokemon Go. Wimpod, and its evolution Golisopod, will be making their first Pokemon Go appearance during this event. Make sure to log in to encounter and catch this new Generation 7 Pokemon.

In addition to this, Trainers will be able to encounter Pikachu wearing a Pokemon TCG hat in the wild. This is the first time this variant of Pikachu will be appearing in Pokemon Go, so make sure to keep your eye out for a chance to add it to your collection.

It will require 400 Wimpod Candy to evolve Wimpod into its evolution, Golisopod.

Due to them being featured in the latest trading card expansion, Pokemon TCG: Pokemon Go Lunatone and Solrock will also be featured in Pokemon Go during this event. In addition to them appearing in the wild more frequently, Lunatone will appear in the Western Hemisphere and Solrock will appear in the Eastern Hemisphere after the event has ended.

Additionally, players will have a chance to encounter a Shiny Meltan during this event. This applies to Meltan that are encountered using a Mystery Box. There will also be a reduction in the time that you have to wait before opening another Mystery Box.

There will be several Pokemon that will have an increased likelihood of appearing in the wild. Make sure to log in during the event to encounter and catch the following Pokemon while adventuring in Pokemon Go.

Additionally, players who complete Field Research tasks during this event will have the chance to earn an encounter with an event-themed Pokemon. Make sure that you are visiting PokeStops and completing Field Research tasks within this window to encounter the following Pokemon.

Pokemon Go: TCG Crossover Event - Raids

During this event, there will be several Pokemon that will be appearing in Raids. Varying in difficulty, players will find that some of these powerful Raid Pokemon will be too difficult to take on solo, so make sure to group up with other Trainers to defeat and catch the following Pokemon in Raids.

Mewtwo will know different Charged Attacks depending on when they are caught. Mewtwo caught from June 16 at 10am to June 23 at 10am will know the Charged Attack Shadow Ball. Mewtwo caught from June 23 at 10am local time to July 1, at 10am local time will know the Charged Attack Psystrike.
