Popular ice cream chain Baskin-Robbins and The Pokémon Company may seem like an unlikely combo - but the two companies have recently announced a new collaboration to promote the new Pokémon Coco movie in Japan.

Beginning July 20, 2020, Baskin-Robbins stores in Japan will begin selling all-new Pokémon-themed sweet ice cream treats based on the upcoming movie.

To kick off the collaboration, Baskin-Robbins has announced two brand new ice cream flavors: First is a Pikachu-themed sorbet (which was originally sold a year ago to promote the Pokémon The Movie: Mewto Strikes Back EVOLUTION film). Each scoop of yellow sorbet is filled with red specks and chocolate toppings shaped like Pikachu's face. The second ice cream is a triple soda flavor, which is colored with green, blue, and brown swirls. Each scoop is topped with milk candies that are also shaped like Pikachu's face.

Customers can order their Pokémon ice cream either in Baskin-Robbins cones or in unique Pokémon-themed cups, featuring artwork from the upcoming Coco movie. Each cup will also get a unique yellow spoon featuring the tails of different Pokémon.

In addition to the ice cream flavors, Baskin-Robbins will also be selling a "Pokemon Ice Cream Master" set, which includes a set of Poké Balls, each with a different color. The balls themselves are cool, but to make the deal even sweeter, each ball contains a scoop of ice cream. If that wasn't enough, the box the set comes in can unfold to reveal a mini Pokémon board game.

But that's not all. Baskin-Robbins will also begin selling a new Pokémon variation of their popular four-flavored ice cream cake. The cake will still be divided into four sections, each with a different ice cream flavor; but each section will be topped with a decorative plate with a different Pokémon (specifically, Pikachu, Eevee, Scorbunny, and Yamper). The cake's side film and box will also feature adorable Pokémon artwork. Talk about a dream cake for your next birthday party!

Unfortunately, this promotion will only be available for a limited time and is scheduled to end on August 30. Additionally, the ice cream treats will only be available in Baskin-Robbins stores in Japan.
