George_10g from the famous Reissue cafe in Tokyo, Japan has created some stunning 3D coffee art based on some fan-favorite Pokemon.

Simply saying "Good morning" on Twitter, George posted four pictures with Charizard, Gengar, Cubone, and Goomy. It has since blown up on the platform with more than 6,000 likes and over 1,000 retweets.

George credits himself as the inventor of 3D latte art, which involves having beloved characters from pop culture sitting on top of the mug over a coffee. They have created a bunch of different homages, like Totoro from the popular Studio Ghibli film, Tom & Jerry, and the Imposter from Among Us, just to name a few.

Japan Today says that the hot drinks cost between 600 and 650 yen and the art costs an extra 400 yen. Converting that into USD, that would be around $10 to get a glimpse of George and team's talents in-person.

Despite the cost, customers seem to be very happy with the product. On Yelp, the cafe is rated 4.5 out of 5 stars from 107 reviews. Allison B. from Buffalo, United States, said on the website that it was better than a themed cafe and that the staff spoke English well enough to serve them.

You might decide to go to the cafe while in Japan, and while traveling, Pokemon Go may certainly be on the mind. Surprisingly, the mobile game just had its biggest year yet with over $1 billion in revenue, and the developer Niantic has plans for 2021. On February 20, there will be a Kanto Tour event that has the first 150 Pokemon taking part in raids and encounters. There will be a chance to get the coolest Pokemon to exist Mewtwo and the three legendary birds Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos. If you somehow catch all 150 within the seven day event, there will be a chance to catch a Shiny Mew. Exciting!

Pokemon Go's success in 2020 came with a bit of controversy, however. In the United Kingdom, players over 30 years old were spotted in public areas playing Pokemon Go while under strict lockdown. The quarantine was ordered to help contain the new coronavirus variant that's known to be more effective at spreading across people.
