The partner Pikachu and Eevee are both fantastic Pokemon in the Let's Go series, receiving a boost to their stats compared to a regular Pikachu or Eevee. Both also received a handful of exclusive moves that are seriously overpowered, with Eevee having one for each of its evolution types.

If you have Let's Go Eevee and want to make use of these fantastic moves, it'll depend on what your overall build consists of. Each move on this list (except for Veevee Volley) has 90 power and 100 percent accuracy, each with a different secondary effect. But, overall, some are better than others. Here are all of Eevee's special moves, ranked.

Updated June 25, 2021 by Michael Christopher: Many Pokemon fans are still waiting for a continuation of the Let's Go series, perhaps with entries in Johto. However, it doesn't seem like they're coming any time soon, or at all. For now, we'll continue enjoying the gems that are the Kanto Let's Go games. We've refreshed this list to keep it up to date. We've also added an entry explaining how to teach your Partner Eevee these moves.

10 How to Get the Let's Go Eevee Special Moves

let's go eevee move tutor

There are three Move Tutors around Kanto that will teach your Partner Eevee these special moves. They're all found in Pokemon Centers — one in Cerulean, one in Celadon, and one in Fuchsia.

Cerulean:

  • Bouncy Bubble
  • Buzzy Buzz
  • Sizzly Slide

Celadon:

  • Glitzy Glow
  • Baddy Bad

Fuchsia:

  • Sappy Seed
  • Freezy Frost
  • Sparkly Swirl

Once you've visited a Tutor found later on this list, the earlier ones will also teach the special moves.

9 Veevee Volley (Normal-type)

Veevee Volley is the only move on this list from which Eevee will receive STAB damage (Same-type Attack Bonus). But, the other moves on the list are so good that this one takes the bottom spot. Veevee Volley is somewhat of a combination between Return and Swift. It is powered up by Eevee's friendship level with the trainer, and it never misses.

However, it does have some usefulness when used by Eevee when it isn't in battle. If another Pokemon is out, using Veevee Volley will power up its stats, which is nice.

While the rest of the moves are taught by a Move Tutor, Veevee Volley is a special partner power move.

8 Bouncy Bubble (Water-type)

As the Water-type move representing Vaporeon, Bouncy Bubble is an HP-draining move. At the standard 90 power and 100 percent accuracy, it matches the other special moves in terms of stats. On top of that, it will restore Eevee's HP by half of the total damage that the target takes.

This is, of course, pretty great. But, it doesn't compare to the value of the other moves. It has niche uses, but health recovery isn't as important in this game as other effects.

7 Freezy Frost (Ice-type)

Freezy Frost is the Ice-type move that is meant to represent Glaceon. It has the 90 power and 100 percent accuracy of all Eevee's special moves. The added effect to this one resets all the stat changes of every Pokemon on the field.

This can be great for eliminating your opponent's stat boosts, but it'll also eliminate your own, which is unfortunate. Because of this, it will be lower on this list. That's not to say it's a bad move, though, as all of Eevee's signature moves in this game are still great.

6 Buzzy Buzz (Electric-type)

The Electric-type Buzzy Buzz is meant to represent Jolteon. Alongside the 90 base power and 100 percent accuracy, Buzzy Buzz will always paralyze the target when it lands. Having a guaranteed paralyze move is fantastic, but paralysis does not always guarantee the opponent won't be able to use a move, the way something like sleep will.

Regardless, it's a great move that can be used to stop threatening opponents like Fighting-types or other physical attackers. It does lose points for being a move that uses Eevee's Special Attack stat, though, as Eevee's physical Attack is higher than its Special Attack.

5 Baddy Bad (Dark-type)

All of Eevee's special moves have weird, cringe-worthy names, but Baddy Bad is probably the worst. Ignoring that, it's a pretty good move. As the Dark-type move, representing Umbreon, Baddy Bad has the regular 90 power and 100 percent accuracy, and adds the effects of Reflect to Eevee's side of the battle.

This weakens the power of the opponent's physical moves. Reflect is always a great choice, and it will defend Eevee from physical Fighting-type moves that are super-effective.

4 Glitzy Glow (Psychic-type)

Glitzy Glow is the Psychic-type move that is meant to represent Espeon, with 90 base power and 100 percent accuracy. This move also uses Special Attack, but it has a bit more use than Baddy Bad and other special moves in Eevee's move pool.

This move not only sets up a Light Screen, further boosting Eevee's already-great Special Defense, but as a Psychic-type move, it will be super-effective against Eevee's only weakness — Fighting-type Pokemon.

3 Sappy Seed (Grass-type)

Like the rest of the Eevee moves, Sappy Seed has a base power of 90 and 100 percent accuracy. This one is Grass-type, and it's meant to represent Leafeon. This move is one of the few physical ones in the Partner Eevee move pool.

This one adds the effects of a Leech Seed to the target it hits. This effect will drain the opponent's HP by a little each turn and heal Eevee. It's slightly better than its closest equivalent, Bouncy Bubble, because it continues to heal each turn.

2 Sizzly Slide (Fire-type)

As the Fire-type move meant to represent Flareon, Sizzly Slide is a really great move for Eevee. The 90 base power and 100 percent accuracy of all these moves both apply here, but it also has an added effect that is fantastic. This move will always burn the target, injuring them every following turn and reducing their attack by half, until they faint or the burn is cured.

Another nice note about this move is that it is a physical one, meaning it'll use Eevee's higher Attack stat rather than its Special Attack.

1 Sparkly Swirl (Fairy-type)

Finally, we come to the best move for your partner Eevee in most cases. This Fairy-type move is meant to represent the newest Eeveelution, Sylveon. In addition to the 90 base power and 100 percent accuracy, Sparkly Swirl heals your entire party of all non-volatile status conditions, including burns, freeze, paralysis, poison, and sleep.

That is enough on its own to make this move great, but it has an even better use that many might not notice at first glance. As a Fairy-type move, it's super-effective against Fighting-types, meaning it'll give Eevee great coverage against its one weakness, just like Glitzy Glow.
