It has been a week since the highly anticipated mobile game Pokémon Masters was released and we already have our first big event. The story event is known as "Reach for the Top" and will feature trainer Blue. "Reach for the Top" will be available to play until September 30th so make sure you log in to get your chance at the exciting new event.

Blue is a legendary trainer that has been a staple of the Pokémon universe since the beginning when he was your rival as you played through the original games. His sudden appearances throughout those games led to some epic battles and culminated in a final showdown during the conclusion of your journey through the Elite 4. Blue was teased at the beginning of Pokémon Masters when you were first setting up the game and figuring out what to do.

"Reach for the Top" will allow you to explore Pasio side by side with the legendary trainer as you presumably encounter other trainers to battle along the way. Being able to team up with Blue is an fun concept that rewards fans of the entire franchise. You must be past chapter five of the main story if you want to participate in the event, though. No rush as you still have plenty of time to get there.

Along with the "Reach for the Top" event where you can earn rewards as you explore the world with Blue, you will have a chance to add the trainer to your roster. Until the end of the event, the five-star Blue and his Pidgeot will be available to scout. Since it's the featured sync pair there will be a higher chance for him to appear than other five-star counts but it will still prove difficult. It looks like you might have to sink some serious cash into trying to get him if luck isn't on your side.

"Reach for the Top" is the first big event for Pokémon Masters and a fun way to incorporate a fan favorite from since the beginning of Pokémon all those years ago. This is only the beginning when it comes to events, but it's a strong start for the mobile game. Hopefully someday down the line, Red will be featured in the event to end all events.
