Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players may only just be recovering from the Cinderace Tera Raid, but a new event has already been announced for later this week.

Starting on January 6 and running until January 8, players will be able to grab themselves either a Hyreigon or a Dragapult in four and five star Raids, depending on which version of the game you own (thanks Nintendo Life). Hydreigon will appear for those playing Scarlet, while Dragapult is exclusive to Violet.

Thankfully, both Dragapult and Hydreigon will probably be a little easier to take down and capture than Cinderace was. Similar to the Tyranitar/Salamence Tera Raid from last year, the Tera Type for both Pokemon will be random, meaning you could either grab yourself a powerful 'mon with a unique type, or you could be really unlucky and get a Dragon-Type Dragapult. It's the luck of the draw.

If you haven't played over New Year's and are a little disappointed you missed out on the Cinderace Tera Raid, never fear. When the Dragapult/Hydreigon event is over, Cinderace will be back to terrorize teams across Paldea once again on January 12, leaving again on January 14. That gives you plenty of time to grab yourself a Slowbro to make sure you give yourself a fighting chance.

In other Pokemon news, players have been scouring Paldea for the smallest hint as to which country might inspire Gen 10's region. While there were plenty of theories, many have settled on either Australis and China being the most likely. Evidence pointing towards these countries includes a painting of what players think is an Australian landmark found in Uva Academy's art class, and how out of place the Ruinous Quartet Pokemon feel in the game's Pokedex.
