Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's first finished mod is one titled "Remove Sheeran", and it replaces Ed Sheeran's latest song "Celestial" with one from beloved Japanese popstar Wada Koji instead.

Yesterday, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet officially launched, meaning the floodgates are open for Gen 9 and all that it has to offer, which so far has mainly been bugs and performance issues. Even though it's only been one day since release, Pokemon modders have already jumped on Scarlet & Violet and started tweaking the game however they can.

You might expect the first mod released for Scarlet & Violet to do something about those awful framerate issues and slowdown, but it seems that the community has another pressing issue in mind - removing Ed Sheeran. That's right, to pretty much no one's surprise, the first mod released for Scarlet & Violet is one specifically aimed at making sure you never have to hear "Celestial" play.

The mod, titled "Remove Sheeran" was made by GameBanana modder CrescentCrossbow and released on the same day that the game launched. It does exactly what it says on the tin and removes Ed Sheeran's song from the game, replacing it with one from Wada Koji. You'll have to take my word for it that that's indeed what it does, as the media attached to the mod is a screenshot of the credits that says, "It's another screenshot of the credits. What were you expecting? The mod replaces the credits song."

Although the GameBanana page says that, so far, less than a hundred people hate Sheeran enough to have downloaded the mod, Twitter user VolyaSSB shared a screenshot of it that quickly went viral with more than 41,000 likes at the time of writing.

Aside from the obligatory Ed Sheeran removal, there are only two other mods on GameBanana. One turns the Koraidon on the game icon into a Shiny Koraidon, while another adds the Breaking Bad intro into the game to replace the normal intro sequence. Yep, standard modding behaviour here.
