The Sinnoh region made its public first appearance back when the Pokémon Diamond & Pearl games were launched in 2006. This region is based on the Japanese island of Hokkaido, and it's one of the most memorable regions due to its many mysteries and incredible post-game content.

We all wish that Game Freak treated this region with the same love it treats Kanto, as they seem to forget the fact that the Gen IV games are long due for a remake. Anyway, while we wait for the next iteration of the Diamond & Pearl games, let's have fun with some comics about the Sinnoh region. (Featured image source)

10 Oh, C'mon!

It's no secret that for some reason, Game Freak  is always leaving the Gen IV games behind, as their Pokémon rarely receive any kind of gameplay update whatsoever, and are among the least represented Pokémon in the games unless of course, you count Lucario and Rotom, which to Game Freak are the only worthy Pokes to have come out of the Sinnoh region.

And the thing that pains Gen IV fans the most, is that Game Freak decided to remake the Gen I games for the second time instead of remaking the Sinnoh games. Seriously, it's due time for a Gen IV remake, maybe fans just need to wait a while longer. (Source.)

9 You Cheater!

Tobias is without a doubt, the most hated trainer to ever exist. This mysterious edgy-looking guy battled Ash at the Lily of the Valley Conference, which is basically Sinnoh's League championship competition.

What's so infuriating about this character, is that he used two legendary Pokémon to battle Ash. In the Pokémon anime, legendary Pokémon are so rare and powerful that few trainers are seen catching one, and then comes this guy using two on an official tournament. (Source.)

8 Cynthia Can't Handle The Heat

If you've played the Sun & Moon games, you probably know that the Alola region is really hot, as it's based on volcanic islands like Hawaii. Most of the NPCs in the game use clothes that help them overcome the heat, and you rarely see people wearing coats or heavy clothing.

Cynthia makes an appearance in the Alola games, as she's one of the secret trainers that can be battled in the Battle Tree, and she's still using her long dark coat, which makes sense to wear in Sinnoh as it's way colder than Alola. Maybe she should have used shorts, everyone knows they're comfy and easy to wear. (Source.)

7 How Cute! Now Battle!

If you think about showing your Pokémon to your friends who play the games, you'll realize how weird it can be. You see, one moment everyone is talking about how cute and well trained their Pokémon are, and the other you're crushing their Pokes to exhaustion.

It doesn't matter how cute a Pokémon is, chances are that either you or another trainer is going to use it to fight. Luckily, Pokémon just like to battle, as it's how they develop strengths and achieve their full potential. (Source.)

6 Yeah Sure, Here's A Master Ball

Giratina is in some ways, the Devil of the Pokémon world, as it is a Pokémon created by Arceus, who was so wild and uncontrollable that it was banished to another dimension. It's odd how such a powerful Pokémon can be caught by any kid with a Master Ball. Imagine how doomed the Pokémon world would be if that kid had a grasp of the thing he just caught, chances are that the world would be safer if Giratina was just left alone.

5 Just Another Day

Reading the news in the Pokémon world would surely be an entertaining experience, as the player's trainer is always getting thrown into every world-changing event that the games have to offer.

Just imagine how weird it'd be to read that a child rejected God because it didn't have perfect IVs. Fun fact: Arceus can't be battled by legal means in the Sinnoh games, as you need the Azure Flute -an event item that was never distributed- to open a portal to where he rests. (Source.)

4 Why Pokémon Hate HM Moves

It's easy to wonder why some Pokémon are able to learn certain H; moves, as it doesn't make any sense that a small bird Pokémon like Pidgey is able to carry a trainer using Fly, and sure, some Pokémon are insanely strong, but it's just doesn't make any sense.

The thing is, Pokémon movesets are designed with a focus on gameplay, which is why some Pokémon end up being able to learn HM moves that'd put them in a bad spot if the trainers where to use them. (Source.)

3 Pachirisu Saved The Day

To understand this comic, we'll have to go back to 2014's Pokémon World Championship. Se Jun Park, a South Korean competitive Pokémon player, has just lost his Gardevoir to one of Jeudy Azzarelli's Pokémon. Se Jun has only two Pokes left, one of which is a badly wounded Garchomp, which leaves the Korean player on a very rough spot as he'll lose to Jeudy if he chooses an offensive Pokémon.

So instead of going offensive, he chooses Pachirisu, a defensive Pokémon, who tricks Jeudy's Salamence and Tyranitar into attacking it. Pachirisu survives, and opens the field for Garchomp to end the match. No one expected a little rodent to become a champion, but he did, and everyone loved for it. Except for Jeudy, of course. 2 Never Rely On A Bidoof

Bidoof is perhaps, the most infamous Pokémon of the Sinnoh region. For some reason, players didn't like its design, nor were too excited by its mediocre stats, so they just used this poor Pokémon as an HM slave or to make fun of it.

But contrary to popular belief, Bidoof isn't all that useless, as it can learn the most useful HM moves. Its evolution, Bibarel, is even nicer, as it can learn Surf and Strength, seriously, Bibarel is the perfect obstacle remover, and can also serve as a nice surfboard. (Source.)

1 Thank Arceus!

This comic list wouldn't be complete if it didn't poke fun at Arceus' status as a Pokémon God. In the games, it's somewhat hard to have a good grasp as to how powerful Arceus is, as he's limited by gameplay mechanics.

According to the Pokédex entries, Arceus was the first Pokémon to ever exist, and it created Sinnoh and possibly the entire universe, yeah, it's that powerful. It's funny how this supreme being is so rare and elusive, that regular people wouldn't recognize it even if it stood in front of them. (Source.)
