Pokemon has launched a new website that lets you tour the Lental region while racking up My Nintendo Points in the process.

There is only one week left until the arrival of New Pokemon Snap. Veterans who played the original have been waiting for more than 20 years, and a whole new generation of trainers is about to discover what all the fuss is about. If seven more days is just too long to wait, The Pokemon Company has launched a site that allows you to explore the all-new Lental region ahead of time.

If you want to check it out, the address for the site is ExploreLental.nintendo.com. You will be met with a home page that will prompt you to enter your My Nintendo account details, or create an account if you don't have one. You will need an account to proceed as progressing through the tour allows you to accrue My Nintendo Points.

My Nintendo Points are certainly worth having as you can use them to purchase items on the Nintendo Switch eShop. You could even use the points you earn from taking the online tour to soften the financial blow of buying New Pokemon Snap when it's released on April 30, 2021. You must click on all of the images and watch the videos in every area to unlock the points.

Any areas you are yet to explore will have a "new" tag attached so you can keep track of where you have been. You also don't have to take the entire tour all in one go to earn the points. Your Nintendo account will keep track of what you have already explored should you need to take a break and come back later.

The Pokemon Company is doing all that it can to make sure New Pokemon Snap doesn't get lost in the shuffle. It's about to be a very busy year for Pokemon after all. A new line of Pokemon Snap merch will launch alongside the game's release next week. Pokemon has also teamed up with Fujifilm to create a printer and an app that can print photos directly from your Switch. It works with all games but will also hit stores on Snap's release day and also comes in a Pikachu motif if you'd like it to.
