One of the original 151 Pokémon that everyone can't get enough of is the iconic Meowth, that's right! The cat-like Pokémon has been around forever, and isn't going anywhere any time soon.

Save for the several hundred Charizard forms that fans receive from Game Freak on a yearly basis, Meowth is actually one of the Pokémon with the most forms, as the creature has received two regional forms that both come with a new evolution, along with a Gigantamax form. Today, we're going to be ranking every single one of them. Let's get right into it.

7 Aloan Meowth

Look, none of the Pokémon on this list are bad by any means. All cats are good cats, and all cat Pokémon are good cat Pokémon. However, it's without a doubt that Alolan Meowth is the worst on this list of cats.

Alolan Meowth seems to sort of think that being fancy is a personality trait, and beyond its different coloration and attitude from the original Meowth, it doesn't stand out in all too many ways. As such, it ends up at the bottom of the list.

6 Perrserker

Perrserker is a wonderful mix between a complete idiot and actual monster. Half of the time it can be seen like the picture above, literally not a clue what's going on and not a single care in the world, and the other half it looks like a monster. Those retractable claws are really out here putting in the work.

Perrserker lives for the thrill of battle, and while Galarian Meowth evolving into this instead of a new form of Persian was shocking to all of us, this little barbarian is pretty okay. Let's keep him around for a bit.

5 Persian

The original Persian is a good Persian. As we all know, the generation one designs are pretty standard, especially when it comes to the more intricate designs that came with later generations. As such, it doesn't look like all that much is going on when we look at this creature. But that's because it doesn't need any of the fluff. It's doing great already. Standard, clean, all-around positive. A solid cat.

Its presence in the anime and huge power in generation one before being fully thrown to the wayside in generation two's metagame are notable for Persian, and we'll be seeing more of this Pokémon before the list is over.

4 Meowoth

The blueprint. The reason that 40 different versions of this thing exist, the original Meowth.

Meowth is sort of a secondary mascot for the Pokémon series, being a part of Team Rocket in the anime since the beginning. Meowth is an adorable little Pokémon that isn't overcomplicated, and works perfectly. Meowth is based on Maneki-neko, the Japanese lucky cat. This is something that we'll get into a little bit later, but until then, Meowth takes the No. 4 spot on this list as quite the exceptional little creature.

3 Alolan Perisan

Hey, big head.

Look at this beast, this specimen, absolute royalty. It's a big risk to put Alolan Persian so high on the list, mainly due to the fact that most people hate it, but that simply isn't fair. Alolan Persian is elegance. It is class. It is unadulterated beauty.

Besides that, Alolan Persian is literally just the rudest animal you've ever met in your life. It looks down on everyone in its life that isn't itself, and all of its attacks are super dirty. What an absolute treasure. Keep on killing it, Alolan Persian.

2 Galarian Meowth

via Video Gamer

Look at this absolute king. K I N G. This thing has literally no idea what's going on at all. Look at that face. There is no recognition in those eyes. They are completely blank, just like its mind.

While Alolan Meowth is used to being pampered in its own home region of Alola, Galarian Meowths are scrappy little street cats that have to fight amongst themselves in order to earn respect, and they're hardened for it. If you see a Galarian Meowth out in the wild, catch it. Give it a best friend. They've more than earned it.

While Galarian Meowth is an absolutely fantastic Pokémon, it simply can't compare to the No. 1 version on this list.

1 Gigantamax Meowth

Gigantamax Meowth said E X T E N D. Gigantamax Meowth is also an absolute treasure. It takes the Maneki-neko inspiration of the original Pokémon and dials it up to 11 in just about every single way possible. It's the biggest, longest boy that anyone has ever seen. It is frighteningly large in just about every single way possible, and it's great. Completely nonsensical in just about every way imaginable, Gigantamax Meowth takes the No. 1 spot on this list. It's a wonderful little Pokémon. While every version of the Meowth Line is great in its own right, this one takes the cake as the best.
