With almost 900 unique Pokémon in the National Pokédex, there needs to be different ways for each species to stand out. Some have amazing designs, while others prove to be impressive on the battlefield. But perhaps nothing is more telling about a Pokémon than its Pokédex entry.

Pokédex entries generally sum up a Pokémon's character in a few sentences or less. Many entries point out fun facts about certain Pokémon, which often end up being either dark and sinister or cute and wholesome. The cutest Pokédex entries of Sword & Shield come from a great mixture of Pokémon from all over the Galar Region.

10 Skwovet

"It eats berries nonstop - a habit that has made it more resilient than it looks. It'll show up on farms, searching for yet more berries."

As the Cheeky Pokémon with chubby cheeks and the Ability Cheek Pouch, it's no secret that Skwovet loves to stuff its cheeks with berries. Its Pokédex entry makes it pretty clear that it'll do its best to get ahold of as many berries as possible.

9 Gossifleur

"It whirls around in the wind while singing a joyous song. This delightful display has charmed many into raising this Pokémon."

Gossifleur is a very light and tiny flower, so it's no surprise that it can be blown away with the wind. Still, the thought of it singing in the wind is quite adorable, making it a favorite flower Pokémon to care for and protect at all costs.

8 Wooloo

"Its curly fleece is such an effective cushion that this Pokémon could fall off a cliff and stand right back up at the bottom unharmed."

From looks alone, Wooloo is already one of the cutest Pokémon of the Galar Region, and its Pokédex entry only adds onto that cuteness. The fact that its fleece is soft enough to cushion any hard fall confirms that Wooloo would make the best cuddle partner Pokémon.

7 Dubwool

"Weave a carpet from its springy wool, and you end up with something closer to a trampoline. You'll start to bounce the moment you set foot on it."

Like its pre-evolution, Wooloo, Dubwool is a sheep Pokémon with a cloud of the softest wool in the region. While Wooloo's coat can protect it from a hard fall, Dubwool's coat can apparently be used to make trampoline-like carpets, which would be both fun and hilarious.

6 Yamper

"This gluttonous Pokémon only assists people with their work because it wants treats. As it runs, it crackles with electricity."

Yamper's Pokédex entry might hit home for a lot of dog lovers and owners. As a Pokémon that is inspired by the corgi breed, Yamper's love for treats is too relatable to dogs in the real world. Just as dogs will do any trick for some treats, Yamper will also be a good dog that works hard for its reward.

5 Applin

"It spends its entire life inside an apple. It hides from its natural enemies, bird Pokémon, by pretending it's just an apple and nothing more."

Dragon-type Pokémon are generally known to be large and ferocious creatures, but Applin might be the exception. The poor little guy is forced to take shelter and be "nothing more" than an apple, but perhaps that's the appeal to this apple Pokémon.

4 Clobbopus

"It's very curious, but its means of investigating things is to try to punch them with its tentacles. The search for food is what brings it onto land."

Curiosity might have killed the cat, but hopefully that won't be the case for the baby octopus, Clobbopus. As mentioned in its Pokédex entry, it is a very curious Pokémon that likes to punch things. As long as it isn't hurting anyone or anything, its gesture of curiosity can be quite endearing.

3 Eiscue

"The ice covering this Pokémon's face has shattered, revealing a slightly worried expression that many people are enamored with."

Normally, Eiscue will wander around with a block of ice on its head as protection. However, if that ice gets hit in battle, its "Noice Face" will be revealed with its signature Ability, Ice Face. Despite its look of uncertainty, it's cute to know that people will still love it regardless.

2 Morpeko

"It carries electrically roasted seeds with it as if they're precious treasures. No matter how much it eats, it always gets hungry again in short order."

Morpeko is the newest Pikachu clone to join the squad and naturally takes after its overall cuteness. As long as its hunger is satisfied, it'll remain cute, as seen in its Full Belly Mode. However, the second it goes into Hangry Mode, its mood will completely flip to the point where it will commit "evil deeds."

1 Drakloak

"Without a Dreepy to place on its head and care for, it gets so uneasy it'll try to substitute any Pokémon it finds for the missing Dreepy."

Known as the Caretaker Pokémon, Drakloak loves to dote on its pre-evolution, Dreepy. While losing its original baby can be quite sad, the fact that it would put another small Pokémon on its head to fill the void is just too adorable.
