There are a lot of things to find in the new Wild Area of Pokémon Sword & Shield: The Isle Of Armor. In addition to all of the new Pokémon and encounters, there are a variety of hidden items. These hidden items can provide a helpful bit of cash, save the player money, and help those looking to strengthen their champions.

Out of these many items there are ten things players can find that are a higher priority than the others. This is because they are worth more, are much rarer, or simply that useful. Here are the ten things to keep an eye out for and a rough idea of where to find them.

10 Muscle Feather

Feathers are useful items for players looking to max out their Pokémon’s EVs. The Muscle Feather will increase a Pokémon’s attack stat by one EV and can be used until the Pokémon reaches their EV cap.

Muscle Feathers are found in both the Workout Sea and the Insular Sea. It is placed randomly in the game world so there’s no exact place to find one. The good news is that it will reappear after a certain amount of time making it an infinitely farmable item. It’s normally purchased for three thousand Pokédollars and can be sold for 1500.

9 Health Feather

The Health Feather is an item that will increase the Pokémon’s HP EV by one point up until the cap. This is an essential stat for just about every Pokémon in both PVP and PVE making this a valuable Feather.

Like the Muscle Feather it will appear in both Insular Sea and Workout Sea. Once again there is no set location and it’ll spawn randomly in the area. It will also reappear over time making it a farmable item. Buying one from a store costs three thousand and is sold for 1500.

8 Swift Feather

The Swift Feather is another random hidden item that will appear in the Wild Area. It’s found in the Insular Sea and Workout Sea areas specifically. When used it’ll raise the Pokémon’s Speed EV by one point up to the cap.

This is arguably the most useful stat for both PVE and PVP as it determines who goes first and attack accuracy. To buy one from the store costs three thousand and can be sold for 1500. Honestly this should never be sold as the benefit far outweighs the monetary reward.

7 Zinc

While Feathers are nice for topping off a Pokémon’s EV items like Zinc increase EVs faster up until 100. Zinc in particular increases Special Defense by 10 EVs and raises happiness. Zinc can be found in Challenge Beach hidden in a patch of grass east of the tower.

Zinc can be sold for a cool 4900 and is pricey at 98000. This is definitely worth grabbing to boost a champion’s Special Defense or for a quick source of cash, though this is a waste of the item.

6 Iron

Iron is used to raise a Pokémon’s Defense by 10 EVs and will also increase happiness when consumed. These normally are offered at stores for 9800 which saves the player a good chunk of money to pick this up. If the player doesn’t need the item it can be sold for 4900.

Iron is found in the Brawler’s Cave zone of the Wild Area. It’s located along the path that leads to the exit on the northern part of the map.

5 Calcium

Calcium when consumed will raise a Pokémon’s Special Attack EV by 10 up to 100. It will also make the Pokémon happier when used. Price wise its sold at stores for 9800 and the player can pawn it for 4900. It’s best to use it or hang onto it for when the player finds a special sweeper or something that can benefit from better special attack.

Calcium is found on an island in the Workout Sea. The island is located near the Fields of Honor and should be easy to locate, though it might take a bit of surfing first.

4 Protein

Protein is the final item players can find in the Wild Area that will boost a Pokémon’s EV when consumed. Protein will raise the Attack EV by 10 up to 100 which is great for brawlers or physical sweepers. Like the other EV boosters it can be bought from stores for 9800 or sold to them for 4900.

Protein is located in the Soothing Wetlands section of the Wild Area. It’s tucked away beneath a tree near the cave that’s located on the northern part of the map.

3 Black Sludge

Black Sludge is very similar to Leftovers in that it heals the Pokémon by 1/16 of their health every turn while they hold it. The difference is that it will only heal Poison types and harm everyone else. This is handy in PVP as a Pokémon that steals the item will find themselves poisoned every turn.

Black Sludge can be found in a small marsh in the northern part of the Soothing Wetlands. This is a great item for competitive Eternatus thanks to their poison typing and bulk.

2 Rare Candy

Rare Candies are always a joy in the Pokémon games as they’ll immediately level up a Pokémon. This saves a ton of grinding at higher levels where the experience requirements normally require dozens of battles against strong Pokémon.

A piece of Rare Candy can be found in the Workout Sea. It’s hidden on a small island in the southern part of the area.

1 Wishing Piece

While the above items are incredibly useful or valuable the absolute best thing you can find in the new Wild Area is the Wishing Piece. Normally these are obtained from Watt Traders for 100 Watts or via guesswork at the Cram-o-matic making this a prized item for Gigantamax Raid farming.

To get this free Wishing Piece the player will need to go to the Insular Sea. It’s hidden randomly in the plants so it’ll take quite a bit of searching before it’s found.
