Known by Pokemon fans as Eeveelutions, Eevee’s eight evolved forms share Eevee’s feline qualities while still being distinct Pokemon in their own right. Because of the Eeveelutions’ popularity, it’s no surprise that there’s a wide variety of cards in the Pokemon TCG featuring them.

Across the many Eeveelution cards included in the TCG, there are lots of different, individual art styles and card types, with these iconic Pokemon being depicted on everything from basic cards to full art cards with mesmerizing artwork. Whether your favorite is Umbreon, Vaporeon, or another of the eight, there’s a great card to represent them.

10 Burning Bright: Flareon (Cosmic Eclipse #25)

Flareon (Cosmic Eclipse #25)

Akira Egawa, the card’s illustrator, shows off why Flareon is known as the Flame Pokemon in this card, as Flareon runs through a city at nightfall with an aura of fire surrounding its body.

Aside from Egawa’s interpretation of Flareon, the dynamic use of movement in this card brings the environment to life. You can visualize how the fire effect surrounds Flareon, causing it to run quicker. The background of the city skyline at nighttime is also the perfect touch as it adds context to the scene, with the lights from the buildings burning just as brightly as Flareon’s flames.

9 Fast As Lightning: Jolteon V (Sword & Shield Promos #SWSH183)

Jolteon V (Sword & Shield Promos #SWSH183)

In this card by Nagimiso, Jolteon reaches new heights as it uses its electric abilities to launch itself high above the city streets - a feat not for the faint of heart. The expression on Jolteon’s face shows its determination as it zips along the side of a skyscraper, leaving a yellow speed trail in its wake.

The color palette Nagimiso uses in this card is striking, as the purple and pink of the sky complement the bright yellow of Jolteon’s fur and the lights from the cars and buildings.

8 Pokemon On Ice: Glaceon VMAX (Evolving Skies #209)

Glaceon VMAX (Evolving Skies #209)

Illustrated by KirisAki, this card shows a Dynamax version of Glaceon in a park towering over a group of normal-sized Pokemon. Glaceon has most likely used its icy abilities to freeze a portion of the river as Eevee, Marill, Azumarill, Pancham, and Pikachu, as well as Glaceon itself, stand atop the water.

Luckily, not all the river is frozen over, as you can see a Feebas jumping out of the water in the background. KirisAki did an excellent job capturing Glaceon’s giant size through the composition, as a regular-sized Eevee looks tiny next to its paw. This card shows how Dynamax Pokemon can use their abilities not only for battle but also to have some fun.

7 In The Eye Of The Beholder: Flareon-EX (Generations #RC6)

Flareon-EX (Generations #RC6)

This Flareon card, illustrated by Atsuko Nishida, has a simple yet effective design highlighting Flareon’s sweet nature. Unlike many other Pokemon cards, Nishida used the confines of the illustration’s border to their advantage, making it look as though Flareon is reaching out toward you.

Flareon is actually looking at a cake, which explains the wonder-struck expression on its face and Nishida’s decision to surround the Pokemon with hearts. The cherry on top of this card is the yellow fur that fills most of the illustration, making it look like Flareon is especially fluffy.

6 Tag, You’re It: Sylveon-EX (Generations #RC32)

Sylveon-EX (Generations #RC32)

As one component of evolving Eevee into Sylveon requires that you have a strong friendship with this Pokemon, it’s clear that Sylveon values friendship highly, which Kanako Eo’s illustration shows. In this card, Eevee playfully chases Sylveon, grabbing its ribbon in its mouth as if it were playing tag.

The art style has a pencil-like quality that adds to the whimsical atmosphere, bringing Sylveon and Eevee’s joy to life. It’s always heartwarming to see two Pokemon interact in the TCG’s artwork, and this Sylveon card is one of the most endearing examples of this.

5 Psychic Smarts: Espeon V (Evolving Skies #180)

Espeon V (Evolving Skies #180)

This Pokemon card, illustrated by Sowsow, shows Espeon using its psychic abilities to make books float around the library. Sowsow’s detailed art style is in full effect in this illustration, as they paid close attention to detail, not just on Espeon but on the entire scene.

The person who owns this library might be researching the transformative abilities of Pokemon, as you can see two books with Ditto and Eevee on their covers - Pokemon who are known for their abilities to adapt and change shape. Sowsow definitely captured the coziness of this scene through the warm light emitting from the lantern and the comfy armchair while still showcasing Espeon’s psychic prowess.

4 Lord Of The Night: Umbreon V (Evolving Skies #189)

Umbreon V (Evolving Skies #189)

Known as the Moonlight Pokemon, Umbreon is a Dark type characterized by the yellow rings on its body. This card, illustrated by Teeziro, shows Umbreon looking down upon a group of Pokemon - you can see the silhouettes of Pinsir, Grimmsnarl, and Flareon in the shadows.

Teeziro created an imposing atmosphere with this card, shown through Umbreon’s pose and expression as if it were using the move Mean Look. The full moon hangs high behind Umbreon, bathing it in a glowing light. You wouldn’t want to cross this Umbreon in a dark alleyway.

3 Nap Time: Leafeon V (Evolving Skies #167)

Leafeon V (Evolving Skies #167)

With artwork by You Iribi, this card features a Leafeon resting in a pile of leaves that have fallen off the trees in the forest. Although this card depicts a simple scene, Iribi was able to capture the essence of the autumn season perfectly, shown through the use of brown, orange, and yellow tones that contrast the green accents of Leafeon’s design.

The lighting details also bathe the entire illustration in a soft glow, creating an idyllic atmosphere. Leafeon appears to be yawning as though it’s just woken from a satisfying nap on its bed of leaves.

2 Star Baker: Sylveon V (Evolving Skies #184)

Sylveon V (Evolving Skies #184)

With a full art illustration by Yuu Nishida, this card shows Sylveon helping at a bakery, balancing different colored cupcakes on its ribbons. This card has a lot of environmental details, including an adorable chalkboard drawing of Sylveon, who is seemingly the mascot of this bakery.

Sylveon’s expression shows that it’s happy to be serving customers, handing out delicious treats in every way it can. Sylveon’s ribbons aren’t just useful in battle; they can also be used as practical tools in everyday life.

1 Part Of Your World: Vaporeon V (Sword & Shield Promos #SWSH181)

Vaporeon V (Sword & Shield Promos #SWSH181)

As a Water-type Pokemon, Vaporeon has an affinity for the water, a quality that this Pokemon card, illustrated by Tika Matsuno, represents. The illustration shows Vaporeon curled up in shallow water, using its paw to cause ripples to appear on the water’s surface. The best thing about this card is the attention to detail Matsuno put in to help set the scene.

Despite being a close-up of Vaporeon, you can see various sea plants, suggesting that Vaporeon is in a coral reef, as well as the reflection of the sun from above, causing the water’s surface to glisten. This Pokemon card provides a snapshot of Vaporeon’s natural habits, which the Pokemon TCG’s illustrators are adept at capturing.
