In Pokemon Unite, each Pokemon has a special move called their Unites, which are unlocked once they hit a certain level. Although each Unite move is special in its own way, some are just so good that they stand out from the rest.
The best Unite moves aren’t always those that deal the highest damage, but those that are capable enough to put you at an advantage. Whether you play casually or competitively, these moves are an absolute game-changer. They will surely increase your chances of winning, while at the same time also making the game more fun and entertaining to play.
10 Flame Sweep (Talonflame)
With Flame Sweep, Talonflame flies into the air and charges forward to push back and deal damage to all opponents in its path, causing them to fall out of position.
You can use Flame Sweep in several strategic ways, such as pushing objectives away from opponents, keeping them from advancing towards your goal, or saving allies by shoving the opponents away before they can attack. Although the Unite sweeps you along with the targets, Talonflame has moves (Fly or Brave Bird) that can be used to follow up Flame Sweep and allow you to escape from the scene.
9 Nock Nock (Decidueye)
Nock Nock allows Decidueye to fire multiple quills in any direction that is followed up by unleashing a large quill that deals additional damage. The damage you deal increases if the remaining HP of the target is low, or if they are further away.
To experience its maximum effect, trigger your Unite at a far enough distance. While a risky team fight is going on, you can sneakily Unite from a long range to deal damage to opponents or steal objectives without risking yourself. When you’re the only one left standing in your team, you will be thankful you have this move to safely activate without having to dive into a possibly fatal fight.
8 Slowbeam (Slowbro)
Slowbeam is one of the best Psychic-type moves to use in a fight, and is a great way to harass opposing Pokemon just trying to do their jobs. The move has the user catch a target in a deathly stare – almost like hypnotizing them – which causes them to be immobilized. At the same time, Slowbeam inflicts continuous damage to the target, the user gains a shield, and becomes immune to hindrances throughout the move.
Its proficiency as a crowd control move makes it easy for the user to stop opponents from causing damage or pursuing objectives in the game. To utilize Slowbeam, it's best to have coordinated teammates around you to deal extra damage to the key target while it is bound, and easily eliminate it from the fight.
7 Cotton Cloud Crash (Eldegoss)
Do not be fooled by the soft and fluffy-looking bright clouds of the cute small Pokemon, Eldegoss. You will be surprised at the dark motives its hiding beneath them. When it uses Cotton Cloud Crash, Eldegoss floats into the air out of attack range, and will pound the ground when it sees a good opportunity. When it lands, it then continues to shove and damage opponents in the area. Not only that, but it also heals its nearby allies' HP.
Anyone on the receiving end of Cotton Cloud Crash knows how disruptive it can be. There is nothing more frustrating than having your opponent's HP restored when you’re just one hit away from defeating them, or seeing a cloud of cotton balls floating and waiting for the right time to cause havoc on the ground.
6 Starlight Recital (Wigglytuff)
Just like every other recital, the performer's goal is to bring joy to people in the crowd by using their talent and passion for music. Wigglytuff’s Starlight Recital is no exception to this.
The harmonious and melodic sounds will instantly make the user and its allies invincible, grant them a short-term immunity from all status conditions and hindrances, as well as give them a shield. This will come in handy during big team fights as a fantastic way to support the team.
5 Hydro Typhoon (Blastoise)
Hydro Typhoon is one of the best water-type moves in Pokemon Unite. Blastoise shoots out powerful water jets around itself that deals massive damage to opposing Pokemon caught in the blast, which hurls them into the air. During this move, the user is also provided with a shield.
Hydro Typhoon is very useful when doing objectives, as you can use it to prevent opponents from doing damage and buy your team some time to secure the main objectives.
4 Berry Belly Flop (Greedent)
Berry Belly Flop has instantly turned the defender-type Pokemon, Greedent, into a killing machine. Due to it being so overpowered, players have expressed mixed reactions that caused the move to get nerfed during a previous patch update.
Despite it getting nerfed, it's still a powerful Unite move to have at your disposal. Activating Berry Belly Flop allows the user to recover HP before leaping towards a target, inflicting damage, and throwing them back.
Although you aren't able to spam Belch like before, using the move still gives a massive cooldown reduction for Belch. This still gives Greedent a way to deal a decent amount of damage in a short time.
3 Barrage Blow (Machamp)
Barrage Blow is a Unite move that gives you increasing benefits the more you use it. When used the first time, Machamp's stats increases. When used again, a series of powerful combo punch attacks are dealt to single or multiple targets in the area, causing them to move out of position. A particularly large amount of damage is then inflicted by the final blow.
Barrage Blow is a good move to use when securing objectives, as it destroys anything in its path. If you’re facing a Machamp, make sure to keep your distance if you don’t want to get knocked out by the brutal punches.
2 Seismic Slam (Charizard)
Once you get caught by Charizard's Seismic Slam, your chances of surviving are close to zero. Charizard grabs a target and flies up into the air, before slamming it into the ground with great force, dealing a huge amount of damage.
After it lands on the ground, Charizard is free to move around obstacles that can block its pathway. If you think it can’t get any better, just continue reading on.
While the Unite move is activated, Charizard's basic attacks are increased, and Pokemon caught by the fire are left to burn. Charizard then continues to restore HP as it deals damage to opponents. If you ever come across a Charizard in this state, just run for your life. It’s for the best.

Last but not least, we have Hoopa’s Rings Unbound. Ever since players were given this option, you can find almost every competitive match with a Hoopa, just for its monstrously powerful Unite move.
Activating Rings Unbound transforms Hoopa into Hoopa Unbound, boosting its attack and HP. It also creates an unbound ring for allies to teleport into.
The reason the move is so powerful isn’t just because of Hoopa Unbound itself, but its ability to warp allies into the area. Rings Unbound gives the user back up at all times, which can be like dealing with multiple Unite moves at once. You can use it to have allies jump into a fight or to have them easily rotate to objectives – everything you need to give you the upper hand.
