Have you ever played Pokemon Unite and wondered if your teammates can actually see the goal? Well, it turns out they literally might not be able to, as a recently discovered bug leaves the map looking like a black void.

In a clip posted to r/PokemonUnite, one player shows a match where all they can see is the other players. They can move around, attack, and collect Aeos energy as usual, but they can't see where anything is on the map.

Curiously, it appears that the others in the match could not see the player who was experiencing the glitch. LordHelmii, the Reddit user who shared the clip, was able to take out two enemy players, who did not attempt to fight back or react to them in any way.

Not only was the map invisible, but LordHelmii says that the obstacles had no actual collision either. "I didn't encounter any obstacles on the entire map, I could even leave the map entirely, where three of my teammates seemed to be running around", they said. They were also unable to score goals, as the button prompt would not appear when they stood where one would be on the map.

This isn't the only game-breaking bug to hit the new live service. Players have already complained that any goals scored in the final stretch of a match just aren't being counted, despite this being such a pivotal moment in the game. In an example shared on the Pokemon Unite subreddit, one player was particularly frustrated to see that they actually scored enough points for their team to win the match, yet they were not counted for some unknown reason, resulting in a loss.

With any luck, these bugs will be ironed out in time for Pokemon Unite's mobile launch, which is scheduled for September 22. Switch players will be able to jump to this new platform and carry over any progress, as well as play against anyone no matter what version they're playing on.
