Pokemon Unite has been getting a steady stream of updates since its launch. The latest addition - Blastoise - has been a hit with fans, although maybe not for the right reasons.

However, some players are disappointed to see the second generation 'mons go neglected. On r/PokemonUnite, fans share what Pokemon they would like to see added to the game, and they feel that gen two's roster has a lot of unused potential.

"Until Blissey, there was (and still is) very little gen two representation. I think this is odd, because there are a lot of Pokemon that I think could be excellent additions," says Reddit user MeloFeloSenpai. They share that Ampharos would be a great pick for the roster, acting as a defence Pokemon.

Heracross is another popular request, especially since there's currently only one other Bug-type Pokemon on the roster with Crustle.

Of course, there are also requests to add the final evolutions of the gen two starters, Meganium, Typhlosion, and Feraligatr. Meganium in particular, as it could be another much-needed support Pokemon.

Unfortunately for fans of the Gold, Silver, and Crystal days, the currently announced upcoming Pokemon are not from gen two. In the coming weeks, we can expect Sylveon and Mamoswine to go live, having been announced back in August. There is no confirmed release date for the pair, but it's possible it will coincide with the mobile launch September 22.
