Pokemon Unite launched for Nintendo Switch earlier this week, although a mobile version has been confirmed for later this year. Given how popular the game already is, it's reasonable to assume the impact this mobile port will have will be explosive.

If you're dying to get your hands on Pokemon Unite but haven't got access to Nintendo's latest console, don't worry. Once you've got a smartphone at home, you should be able to dive into the all-new Pokemon MOBA in no time, ripping up lanes with Pikachu, Charizard, Lucario, and the rest of Pokemon Unite's roster.

When Is Pokemon Unite Coming Out On Mobile?

Pokemon Unite came out on Switch this Wednesday, July 21. At the moment, it's exclusive to Switch, although you won't have to wait too long before you can play on your mobile phone.

Pokemon Unite is coming to mobile in September this year, meaning we're only around a month and a half away from its mobile launch. What's more, Nintendo has stated that Pokemon Unite will support both cross-save and cross-platform play, meaning that Switch players will be able to either carry all of their progress across to the new version or play with their friends who don't own a Switch. The only thing you need for cross-save is a Pokemon Trainer Club account or Nintendo account that is registered to both the Switch and mobile device in question. Once you set this up, the devices will continuously sync with one another in order to keep your progress up to date.

If you're unsure about whether or not you're going to pick up Pokemon Unite in September, be sure to check out our review. It's an excellent spin on both Pokemon and the MOBA genre, and the fact it's free-to-play means you can try it out without needing to invest any money in it. On top of that, it's very beginner-friendly compared to most other MOBAs, so don't let terminology like "lanes," "jungler," or "minions" deter you - you'll get the hang of it in no time at all.
