Pokemon Unite's patch 1.1.1.6 tier list is out, and it's brilliant news for Wigglytuff mains. The pink blob takes the top spot on the most recent ranking, closely followed by Greninja and Lucario, who all made it into S tier.

The tier list, which was shared on r/PokemonUnite by user ILikeCuteThing, is determined based on how often a Pokemon is being played in ranked, as well as its win rate. By these measurements, Gardevoir, Crustle, Pikachu and others are at the very bottom in D tier.

The tier list for the most recent build of the game is as follows:

  • S Tier: Wigglytuff, Greninja, Lucario
  • A Tier: Eldegoss
  • B Tier: Ninetails, Cramorant, Snorlax, Blissey.
  • C Tier: Mr. Mime, Zeraora
  • D Tier: Gengar, Pikachu, Garchomp, Cinderace, Slowpoke, Venusaur, Charizard, Machamp, Talonflame, Crustle, Absol, Gardevoir.

Of course, this is always subject to change, and is in fact likely to soon. Blastoise is finally coming to the game in just a few days, and Sylveon and Mamoswine are on the way. If Pokemon Unite sticks to its current pace with new characters, the meta will be constantly shaking up.

On top of this, ILikeCuteThing also compiled a tier list of all the useable in-game items, but this is based on their personal opinion rather than any stats. Unsurprisingly, the eject button is at the top, since it can quickly move you about the map. However, potions have ended up in the bottom "troll level" tier.

In another way to gauge a Pokemon's capabilities, one player painstakingly tested every single currently playable 'mon to see which is best for critical hits. As it happens, a whole bunch of them are incapable of landing them at all (outside of a basic attack, which can all get crits), whereas Absol can land one with all of its learned moves. Wigglytuff was in third place for most critical hit-capable moves, giving us yet another reason to start maining this support Pokemon.
