First it was Charizard, and now another Redditor has reimagined the original 151 Pokémon as if they were all crossed with Weepinbell.

The Pokémon universe has become bigger than anyone could have ever imagined 20 years ago. Pokémon was massive during the latter half of the 1990s, but it felt a little bit like a fad. By the turn of the century, its hype would have started to die down -- at least that's what our parents had hoped after spending a small fortune on Pokémon cards.

Here we are two decades later, and Pokémon is bigger now than it has ever been. The trading cards, video games, and TV series are all still going strong. The original roster of 151 monsters has also been expanded upon multiple times. By the time the latest generation of Pokémon is done, there will be more than 900 creatures, making it harder than ever to catch 'em all.

For some fans, 900 Pokémon are still not enough -- so much so that they take it upon themselves to imagine even more, or reimagine old ones would probably be more accurate. Redditor 3007TimbercreekDr took it upon themselves to recreate the original 151 Pokémon as if they had all been crossed with Weepinbell. We don't know why they decided to do it, but it made for some pretty interesting results.

Well, we might know one of the reasons they decided to do it. This isn't the first time recently that a Redditor has transformed all of the original 151 Pokémon to look like the same monster. It was first done using Charizard in what was creatively named by its maker as the Charidex. No prizes for guessing what the Weepinbell equivalent has been dubbed by its creator -- that's right, the Weepindex.

Chances are the Charidex and Weepindex won't be the last we see of this Pokémon fad. There's likely someone out there right now working on the next set of 151 transformations. Which Pokémon would you like to see take the form of every single creature it shares the first generation with? Gengar's big, smiling purple face on some of the smaller Pokémon might be dun. Or Dratini's eyes on certain Pokémon could make for a creepy crossover. We're excited to see what comes next.
