After teasing a huge announcement coming soon, Twitch streamer Pokimane has fans up in a frenzy speculating that the popular streamer may be moving to competitor platform Mixer.

Imane Anys, more commonly recognized by her username "Pokimane", is a Twitch streamer known for her video game streams, mostly for Fortnite and League of Legends. She's been a loyal Twitch streamer since 2013 and is currently the top female streamer on the platform with nearly 3.5 million subscribers. However, despite her many years on the platform and strong network of followers, there is a chance the streamer may be moving to Mixer.

While streaming on October 30, Pokimane teased that she would be making a huge announcement very soon, mentioning a "contract" that she would hopefully be signing "soon." Despite her intentional vagueness, the statement sent fans into a frenzy, with her chat exploding with a number of "Mixer?" comments.

Upon seeing all the comments, Pokimane addressed them with laughter, saying, "You guys can say Mixer as much as you want. You could literally spam that word a million times in my chat. It will not change what I'm gonna say!" Again, her response statement was vague, only resulting in more questions prying if the 23-year-old streamer would be moving to Mixer or not.

"Like whether it is, or whether it's not. It won't matter," Pokimane continued with a smile, still not completely shutting the idea down. "Because what am I saying now? Nothing. I'm going to say it when I say it. I'm not saying sh*t now!"

She did continue to go along with the comments, addressing an idea she had to troll her followers into thinking she was leaving Twitch. "I wanted to on Twitter, and be like listen guys, I'm moving to a new streaming platform. Is it Mixer? Is it YouTube? Is it Facebook? Are you staying on Twitch?" She then explained how she would announce it, saying, "[I'd write something like] 'Guys, new live streaming platform.' And then I just link f*cking to [adult site] slash Pokimane!" she laughed.

The streamer ended her discussion by clarifying that despite her jokes, she did, in fact, have a huge announcement: "It's true I do have something to announce. It's soon though, it's very very soon!"

This news comes during a hot time in the Twitch vs. Mixer debate, as many prominent Twitch streamers, such as Ninja and Shroud, have left their former platform in favor of Microsoft's Mixer. If Pokimane were to join them, she would be the first major female streamer on Twitch to leave.
