There are a lot of things wrong with Cyberpunk 2077, and even though CD Projekt Red promises to fix most of them, police spawns are probably way down on the list. Technical issues, bugs, and abysmal performance on last-gen platforms are definitely at the top of the patch list, while police spawning two feet in front of the player is probably not a high priority right now.

As annoying as NCPD officers can be, you might actually want to take advantage of their immersion-breaking spawns while you can. There's some pretty sweet loot to be had on a cop's corpse, it turns out.

One Reddit user has figured out the best way to farm NCPD spawns and posted a video to the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit. All you need to do is shoot a random civilian, hunker down in a closed storefront, and wait.

First, a drone spawns in front MyOpinionIsTheBest, then another one, and then the first NCPD officer appears. Then another, and then a whole group of them show up in riot gear. All of them get taken out in a single shot because they all spawn basically right on top of each other so the bullet's penetration hits all of them.

Now all you need to do is loot the bodies and run away. Not only are the police spawns broken, cops don't really seem to follow the player after escaping the scene of the crime, so you can pretty much just do whatever you want, whenever you want, and get away with it.

Don't expect this situation to last forever, though. Eventually, CD Projekt Red is going to figure out a way of making police react more as they do in GTA games, arriving in cars and SWAT vans and then storming the player in a dramatic shootout. These instant spawns make it seem like there are cops around every corner in Night City, which is clearly not the case.

But it is a good way to get some free loot.
