Power Rangers' most despicable villain of all is finally coming to Battle for the Grid as part of the game's Season One pass - Lord Zedd.

Those of us born during the 1980s and 1990s love nothing more than a healthy hit of nostalgia. The video game industry has well and truly cottoned on to that. It's why Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon are once again at the forefront of gaming after all of these years. It's also one of the many reasons why the Pokémon franchise continues to thrive.

One franchise from our childhood we feel as if hasn't been exploited enough is Power Rangers. In all fairness, the Power Rangers' few forays into the gaming world have been pretty forgettable. Battle for the Grid is trying to be different, though. It was released earlier this year, its fun, priced reasonably, and celebrates the Power Rangers' entire history.

That being said, we were pretty peeved when the game was released and Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd were nowhere to be seen. Fear not, though, as that has now been rectified via DLC, which was the plan all along. The despicable Lord Zedd is now available via DLC thanks to the game's new update, which was rolled out earlier this week, as is the third and final act of Battle for the Grid's story mode.

The press release breaking the news reveals some of the attributes the powerful Lord Zedd will be bringing to the game with him. Zedd's Z-Staff will be the focus of most of his move set, and he will also be able to summon his minions, the dreaded Putties. If they are anything like the Putties from the original TV series, we can't imagine it will be too difficult to fight them off.

If you already have Battle for the Grid's Season One pass, Lord Zedd should be available now. If you don't, you can buy it for $14.99 and get all of the other content that has come before this current update. If you have no interest in everything else, and you want nothing more than to add Lord Zedd to your roster, you can do that too for $5.99.
