YouTube streamer Dr Disrespect has announced that pre-orders are live for his first book, VIOLENCE. SPEED. MOMENTUM., on his Twitter. The hardcover copy is available for preorder for $27.00, while the eBook can be preordered for $12.99. It will be officially released on March 30, 2021.

In what has been an absolutely wild year for the two-time Blockbuster Video Game Champion, the self-proclaimed "most famous, dominant gamer in the history of the world" has announced the release of a memoir. VIOLENCE. SPEED. MOMENTUM. will describe what it's like being one of the most recognizable faces in the modern gaming industry, taking readers through never-before-told stories of his life and streaming career. Dr Disrepect has described his book to "definitely be a huge, massive, record-breaking bestseller".

The book was initially announced in February when the memoir was sold to Gallery Books, originally slated for Spring 2021 release, and it was announced by the Doc on Twitter that preorders were now available.

Since the book was sold in February, Dr Disrespect has exploded into the streaming spotlight - not that he wasn't there already - with his unexplained termination on Twitch. He has since picked his streams back up on YouTube, pulling in over 510k viewers on his first returning stream. As the memoir has been done for months, there unfortunately won't be any information regarding his sudden ban from Twitch, though according to him, even he still doesn't know. Perhaps he'll release a sequel in the coming years that answers that question.

While influencer books don't exactly have the best reputation, Dr Disrepect's story is a particularly interesting one, and if translated to paper well, could make for a legitimately interesting read. His story goes back to 1993, when Doc was first crowned the Blockbuster Video Game Champion, before doing it a second time in the following year (allegedly). He attended California State Polytechnic University, where he played NCAA Division II basketball; not at all surprising for a man with a 6'8'' frame and 37" vertical leap. His fabled journey as Dr Disrepect began in early 2010 with the creation of his YouTube channel, focusing primarily on Call of Duty content in his early years. In 2011, he went on hiatus as he was hired to Sledgehammer Games as a content manager, but eventually returned to content creation on Twitch (formerly Justin.tv), which he has been doing full-time since 2015. In five short years, despite regularly finding himself in hot water, Dr Disrepect has overtaken the streaming world due to his provocative personality, high production value, powerful stature, and shimmering mullet.

For  fans of the Doc, VIOLECE. SPEED. MOMENTUM. should be right up your alleyway. For people who only recently heard of the Champions Club founder, this memoir will answer all of your questions as to who in the world this guy who has been all over your news feed is, in great depth. Pre-order VIOLECE. SPEED. MOMENTUM. now to support the Doc.
