Prey is, simply put, one of the greatest games ever made. It's no secret that we here at TheGamer are big fans of Arkane Studios, so this may seem like an obvious take from us, but seriously, Prey is one of the best games ever made - go and claim it now, it's free, what are you waiting for?

RELATED: Prey Does Everything Better Than Every Other Game EverIf you're reading this it means you still need to be convinced to go and claim Prey for free on the Epic Games Store. Imagine BioShock, but in space, and better. Much better. So much better that BioShock feels like a stupid comaprison. Anyway, that's Prey. You control Morgan Yu, a human aboard a space station that's been infiltrated by an alien species called the Typhon. It's an RPG with different upgradable powers that encourages varied playstyles and has multiple endings. It can also be beaten in around 16 hours if you don't get distracted by any of the side quests or DLC.

Are you still here? Really? Short, sweet, sci-fi space RPG made by one of the best game studios ever isn't enough of a sell for you? Did we mention it's free for the next 24 hours on the Epic Games Store? You can turn into any non-living object on the station to solve puzzles. You can turn into a pencil, or a mug, or a turret. Seriously.

Still not convinced? Okay. You may be familiar with the most recent Arkane game, Deathloop. The PS5 exclusive was nominated in several categories at The Game Awards this year and featured on loads of TheGamer's Editors GOTY lists. Well, Prey's Mooncrash DLC is better than Deathloop, so go and claim it for free on the Epic Games Store. Huh, guess you should get distracted by the DLC then.

If you don't take our word for it, how about literally everyone else's? Prey is the third highest-rated game out of Arkane's catalogue, ranking just behind Dishonored 1 and 2. It's got a critic score of 88, and a user score of 75, meaning it's pretty much universally loved.

Also, it's free on the Epic Games Store right now. For 24 hours. Go!
