Protect Your Switch Lite With A Stylish New Case

Nintendo is putting out a new case for the Switch Lite that acts as a simple flip cover with a screen protector.

There are many Nintendo Switch accessories out there, including a variety of cases, controllers, chargers, and more. With the recent release of the Nintendo Switch Lite, many may be wanting more Lite-specific accessories, and Nintendo has seemingly answered the call with a nifty Nintendo Switch Lite Flip Cover & Screen Protector.

The Flip Cover & Screen Protector accessory is actually fairly straightforward. With the item in hand, you simply insert the Switch Lite into a case, for which there is a cover that flips open, allowing Switch owners to access the Switch with ease. Further, the accessory comes with a protective shield for the screen of the Switch Lite. The item will run at $39.99.

Although the item is available to view on Nintendo's website, it is currently listed as "Sold Out." However, according to Nintendo's press release on Business Wire, the item will be available to purchase on December 8 on the Nintendo store and other retailers online exclusively. The product will be made available in stores in 2020.

It is unclear whether the item is "Sold Out" on Nintendo's website because it is technically not currently available in the U.S. or if it is actually sold out in terms of pre-orders. Currently, the item isn't quite available on other online stores for other retailers, though there are a variety of other cover types and screen protectors available to purchase, both first-party and third-party.

This accessory looks like a solid product. For owners of the Nintendo Switch Lite, it seeks to act as an effective case while still allowing for use of the system. For Lite owners that are often on the go with their console, this seems like a solid cover to go with.

Generally speaking, it has never been a better time to be a Switch owner. With a backlog of games like Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, recent releases like Luigi's Mansion 3 and Pokémon Sword & Shield continue to add value to Nintendo's hybrid console. There are bound to be a variety of deals for the system and its software come Black Friday so any prospective Switch buyers on the fence may want to be on the lookout for the best deals.
