PlayStation has just launched the 21.01-03.20.00 update for PS5 users. The update focuses on the DualSense controller, reportedly fixing a bug related to the battery life display.

Specific details on what the update targets have not been officially announced, and the PlayStation website simply states that it “improves system performance". However, PS5 players share that the update has fixed the bug in which the console would not accurately display how much charge the DualSense controller has, often saying it is on 0% when it did in fact have charge.

The update is available now. To download, simply boot up your PS5 and it should start automatically. Otherwise, it can be started manually in settings. If your console is currently in rest mode, the update should have already started automatically and be ready next time you play.

Unfortunately, as many players are pointing out, updates have a history of restarting any Reutrnal runs you had going on in the background. This is in order for the game to apply any of the changes. For this reason, it’s recommended that you turn auto-updates off if you’re currently making your way through the PS5 roguelike hit.
