These games are the beginning of a new age of PlayStation and will potentially have specs on par with some higher-end custom gaming rigs. Keep reading to learn about ten rumored PS5 games that are to be released.

Updated August 4, 2020, by Elise Nelson: We finally have an idea of what the PS5 will look like and what we can expect from its next-generation technology, thanks to the hours-long reveal event just a few months ago. On top of that, we know we're going to see some major releases on the sleek console, including Godfall, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Cyberpunk 2077, and more. There are over 40 confirmed titles coming to the PS5. And yet, there are still so many amazing games awaiting confirmation.

10 Uncharted 5

We may not have seen the last of the Uncharted series after all. The latest installments, 2016's Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and its 2017 expansion, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, seemed to wrap Nathan Drake's story up nicely. Fans were satisfied until earlier this year when Nathan's actor, Nolan North, implied in an interview that he would be open to yet another sequel.

Nothing is set in stone yet, but rumors of Uncharted 5's development continue to swirl. Now that Naughty Dog has finally released The Last of Us: Part II, they may be able to focus on this franchise.

9 God of War 2

It has been two years since Sony released the God of War reboot-sequel-hybrid. The release was so successful that a God of War 2 reboot seems highly likely. Speculation of another installment rose when Sony Santa Monica posted job listings for various roles, including one that mentioned the franchise.

The game is likely to be a PS5 exclusive, as it probably wouldn't be released until 2021 or 2022.

8 Overwatch 2

After months of speculation, Overwatch 2 was finally confirmed at BlitzCon 2019, but we really don't know much about its release. Blizzard revealed at the event that the game was still in development and they're focused on making it as great as can be before they even think of a release date. So, at this point, a PS5 release is more plausible than PS4.

What we do know is that Overwatch 2 is unlike any other sequel. It is said to focus on PvE missions that build off previous Overwatch Archive seasonal events, and adds a brand new story mode, maps, heroes, and more.

7 Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

Just two weeks ago, on July 23, Fatshark officially announced Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. In a press release, the developers revealed that the game will be a co-op with their signature melee combat. They teased that it will be "full of detail" and mentioned an arrival at Atoma Prime.

Fatshark did not give any details regarding an official release, but they estimated that it would come out in 2021. It is already slated to join the next-gen Xbox Series X, so a PS5 release will likely follow.

6 Dragon Age 4

After a six-year hiatus, the Dragon Age series is slated to finally return. The fantasy RPG from Bioware received a trailer and art for Dragon Age 4 this year, and the developers teased that they plan on using "next-generation technology" to bring their beloved fantasy worlds to life.

Unfortunately, fans of the franchise will have to wait another year or two to get their hands on the latest title. Chief operating and financial officer Blake Jorgensen revealed in a fiscal yearly earnings report that the earliest release would probably be after the studio's 2022 fiscal year.

5 Grand Theft Auto VI

Grand Theft Auto VI is rumored to be released in a few years between 2020 and 2022. It is also rumored that players will be able to fly between the United States and South America in the game, giving players access to multiple cities.

Players have also speculated the theme might focus on the 70s, and fans are ecstatic. There are numerous other rumors floating around about the game, but all we know is the game won't disappoint based on its past performances.

4 Death Stranding

Death Stranding's official release is still unconfirmed, but several sources speculate this game will be released with the PS5. It is definitely going to be a PS4 game, but many suggest it will be released on both platforms. This is an open world game, but all of the other details about it are fuzzy.

Players have been asking questions, but the game creators refuse to give them the answers they want and need to know about its backstory. We know it is set in a futuristic sci-fi world, but other than that, it continues to be a mystery until its release.

3 Starfield

Starfield is set in space, and that is literally all that is known about this game so far. The trailer offers us a look at the universe, and a star-shaped satellite appears right before its end. They refuse to release any more details about the game, and it is expected more will be known once 2020 rolls around and the PS5 release grows nearer.

There is a lot of mystery behind it and gamers can't wait to know more about it. It will be the game of the century if they manage to pull it off.

2 Battlefield Bad Company 3

Battlefield Bad Company 3 is rumored to be in the works for a release with the PS5. It isn't quite known what the game will feature as the developers still are unclear on what players loved about the previously released game, but they do know it will be coming out for the PS5.

The last game took place in South America, so gamers are eager to see where they will station it next. It is known it will contain aspects related to Vietnam. Players have loved this first-person shooter game and can't wait to get their hands on the one planned for the PS5.

1 The Elder Scrolls 6

It has been hinted that the Elder Scrolls VI will wait to be released on the PS5. They decided to wait until the new consoles release because they wanted to look to the future of gaming to make this game the best it could be.

This game series has always been rich in details, and gamers expect nothing less from the new game set to be released. They are excited to journey through the open world and discover everything it has to offer for their imaginations.
