Perfectionists, prepare to have the entire next generation of gaming ruined for you by the image below. You have been warned.

There are a number of elements and features new to the PS5 that gamers around the world will have been experiencing for the very first time this week. The one that Sony appears to be the most excited about, and with good reason, is its DualSense controller. It's the biggest step away from PlayStation's tried and true design since the console's inception.

Sony's goal with the DualSense was to allow you to experience PlayStation's games in a different way than you have ever experienced them before. Its haptic feedback reacts differently depending on the game you're playing and what exactly you are doing at the time. Its triggers will adapt depending on what is happening in-game. In NBA 2K21, they will become harder to press as players tire.

Now that we have praised the DualSense, it's time for us to ruin it forever. Game design director Ted Timmins has noticed something about the controller that we hadn't seen. The image of his discovery can be seen below. Fair warning before you look, once you've seen what we are about to show you, it can never be unseen. The Sony branding on the DualSense is slightly off-center.

"This PS5 controller has the Sony branding ~1mm off-center to the left, and at a ~1 degree slant," Timmins revealed on Twitter. Even though the game designer implies that the uneven branding is specific to his controller, the replies imply that others have now noticed the same on their own hardware. "Now I will never see otherwise, this is your fault Ted," one irritated PS5 owner replied.

Others refuse to believe Timmins despite the evidence offered up. They claim that the only reason the branding looks off-center is due to an optical illusion caused by the Y. There's certainly an argument to be made as it seems crazy to think PlayStation would make this mistake on all of its controllers. It doesn't make the DualSense any less impressive, of course, providing you can forget the tilted Sony logo lurking under the charging port.
