Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a newly-released game by Insomniac Games for the PS5 and PS4. This game is a follow-up to Marvel's Spider-Man, which came out in 2018, and follows Miles Morales' journey as he learns what it takes to be a superhero in New York City.

This game is fantastic on so many levels. It may be smaller than its predecessor, but it is equally as soulful and engaging. The game has a heartwarming story, immersive gameplay, and great post-endgame content as well. There are so many things you can do after beating the main story that will keep you playing for hours on end.

10 Complete Your Spidey Training

Miles Morales and Peter Parker

Miles Morales may be his own unique superpowered spider guy now, but he still has much to learn from the OG Spider-Man himself, Peter Parker. Peter is more than willing to help his young protege, though, and he gladly trains Miles in this game in the form of holograms and cheesy-yet-adorable life lessons.

If you haven't completed the spider-training exercises yet while going through the main story, now is the time to do so. There are only a total of nine exercises, three each for combat, stealth, and traversal. Peter will also give Miles a "final task" that may just surprise you, and a wonderful reward right after completing that.

9 Get Busy Using The Spider App

There are only a handful of people who know about Miles Morales' Spider-Man alter-ego. One of those is his best friend and trusted confidante, Ganke Lee. Not only does Ganke know about Miles Morales being Spider-Man, but he is also incredibly supportive of him. He assists Miles in his missions by acting as the "guy in front of the computer" and he even develops an app for him.

The Friendly Neighborhood Spider App lets you see all the available activities and crimes around you. Keeping tabs on this is a great way of helping you reach 100% in this game. If there's ever a side mission or a crime you feel like you missed, you're bound to find it here.

8 Photo Mode

Peter Parker may be the professional photographer of the two Spider-Men of New York, but you can most certainly feel like one by using the game's photo mode. Similar to many modern titles, the game comes with a photo mode that's super immersive and full of fun features you can mess around with.

Couple this with the fact that Spider-Man: Miles Morales is an already-incredibly cool looking game, you're sure to capture a lot of incredible snaps while playing around with this feature. You can even capture selfies like the one in Marvel's Spider-Man. Be sure to check this feature out and have fun with it. It's one of the things that make this game so immersive and enjoyable.

7 Swing Around New York City

"This game makes you feel like Spider-Man." This is a statement you've heard and read a million times about now. Well, guess what? Swing around New York City and see for yourself. The game's traversal mechanic is very satisfying and incredible that you can spend hours just swinging around New York City.

After completing the main storyline, you can just swing around New York City and find some of the best easter eggs the game has to offer. Climb atop the Avengers tower, dance with New Yorkers at C.J. Walker Park, find Stan Lee's statue, and more.

6 Meet Spider-Cat

Come to think of it, there are actually three Spider-Man characters in the game: Miles Morales, Peter Parker, and Spider-Man. That last one is not actually a person with spider-powers, but an adorable house cat named Spider-Man. You first encounter him in the "Looters!" side quest given to you by Teo, a grocery store owner in Harlem.

If you complete this side mission before finishing the main story, you will not be able to access the Bodega Cat suit yet. Once you do, head back to Teo's bodega and pet little Spider-Man and the suit will be yours. This suit will see Spider-Cat fight alongside you as he dons his own mask and lingers in your backpack. Spider-Cat isn't just all about the cute-factor either. He will often climb out of his pack and make the finishing blow during takedowns.

5 Into The Spider-Verse

Spider Man Miles Morales Ps5

Miles Morales is a fairly new character, so it's understandable that there are not that many other forms of media that portray him yet. He has not appeared in any live-action films yet, and his other major appearances outside of the games are in animated series TV shows and a 2018 animated film called Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

This game, along with the 2018 film, is by far the biggest love letter to the character. Considering this, it should come as no surprise that there's a suit in-game that's taken right out of the movie. It is notable for not only looking exactly the one in the movie but also for limiting Miles' movement to 12 frames per second, similar to the one in the movie.

4 Collect The Other Suits

Spider-Man: Miles Morales may not have as many collectible suits as the 2018 Spider-Man game, but the ones you find in here are stunning in their own right. There are a total of 19 unlockable suits in the game. Some of them will automatically unlock as you reach a certain level, while others have different requirements.

Comic book readers and fans of Miles Morales will surely find many of these suits familiar. There's the Animated Suit, which is taken directly out from the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series, the Homemade Suit from the comic book event Secret Invasion, the Great Responsibility suit, which is Miles' first Spider-Man costume in the comics, and much more.

3 Go Home

After completing the main story, you can head back to your apartment in Harlem for a well-needed rest. Looking at the apartment this time around, you will see a few noticeable changes such as Miles' suit being displayed in plain sight, now that his mother knows about him being Spider-Man.

After sleeping, Miles will wake up to a birthday greeting card from his mother, telling him to look for other postcards hidden around the city. There are a total of eight postcards around New Your and finding all of them will take you to an emotional cutscene.

2 Replay The Remaster

If you're fortunate enough to own a Play Station 5 right now and the Ultimate Edition of Miles Morales, then you also have the voucher for the remastered and enhanced for PS5 version of Marvel's Spider-Man.

This remastered version comes with all three chapters of The City That Never Sleeps DLC. It also has a higher fidelity, textures, and 60 frames per second gameplay worthy of a next-generation title. If you haven't played the 2018 Spider-Man game, this is the perfect opportunity to do so. If you have, this is also the perfect opportunity to do so.

1 New Game Plus

Spider Man Miles Morales PlayStation 5

A New Game Plus mode is more or less essential these days. It's one of the things many players look forward to doing after they complete a game or it's something they ask for if a game does not include it. Besides, replaying Spider-Man: Miles Morales with the upgrades and suits you already have will make the game more combat-centric.

To make the experience even more challenging, you can choose to play the Ultimate difficulty mode, which takes the game's difficulty to a whole new level. Crime-fighting isn't easy and this mode is a testament to that.
