Chinese Dota 2 side PSG.LGD has added EHOME offlaner Ren "old eLeVeN" Yangwei to their ranks on a loan, the team announced earlier this week. While old eLeVeN joins as position three, former offlaner Yang "Chalice" Shenyi has become the team’s main carry. This move comes a month after the team’s removal of long-term carry Wang “Ame” Chunyu.

PSG.LGD was once known as the best Chinese Dota 2 team, and one of the best Dota teams in the world. Prior to The International 2018, the team had placed third at the China Dota 2 Supermajor, second at the Dota 2 Asia Championships, and first at EPICENTER XL and the MDL Changsha Major. They were favorites heading into TI8, but were defeated in the Grand Final by European side OG Esports.

Throughout the 2019 season, LGD placed 5-6th in the Kuala Lumpur, DreamLeague Season 11, and EPICENTER Majors, and finished fourth at both the Chongqing and MDL Disneyland Paris Majors. They again made a good run at The International 2019, placing third behind Team Liquid and OG.

PSG.LGD has found minimal success so far in the 2019-20 Dota Pro Circuit, as they have failed to qualify for the DreamLeague Season 13 and ESL One Los Angeles Majors. In response to their poor results, the team traded carry Wang “Ame” Chunyu for Lai "Ahjit" Jay Son. Ahjit was removed from the roster just one week after his signing, and was replaced by Li "ASD" Zhiwen. ASD has now been removed, and EHOME member Ren "old eLeVeN" Yangwei has joined the team on a loan.

Old eLeVeN boasts an extensive Dota 2 career, featuring a third placing at the MDL Changsha Major and a second placing at ESL One Katowice 2018. He has represented a number of prominent Chinese teams, including EHOME and Vici Gaming, along with a previous stint with LGD that saw him place fourth at The International 2017. Old eLeVeN takes over PSG.LGD’s offlane position, prompting Yang "Chalice" Shenyi to move to the carry position. Chalice has been the team's offlaner since 2017.

As the coronavirus pandemic has prevented many esports events from going on, it may be a while before this roster makes their LAN debut. The team has already made their first online appearance in the WeSave! Charity Play, where they found a win over Invictus Gaming. They are also expected to compete online in Season 1 of the China Dota 2 Professional League play-offs on March 27th.
