PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) can be the most fun or frustrating game ever depending on a lot of different factors. If you are a casual player that just enjoys the atmosphere, then this game probably won’t bother you that much. However, if you are competitive and trying to break into the final ten finally, this game is perhaps wrecking your world. You can get to the last 20 and can even sneak your way into the final 15, but for some reason, you are always taken out at the worst time. It is a game of stress and pressure. Looting, monitoring the compression of the play area, looking out for enemies in all directions, and trying to decide whether you should make it on foot or hop into a car are all decisions you have to encounter when playing this game.

You have to be that much quicker than your opponents, and more strategic than the game’s tricks. Hey, that “chicken dinner,” isn’t going to eat itself, so how in the world can you better your chances to get to the end? PUBG requires a blend of strategy and having the right items on hand. If you are still struggling to make the final five, then maybe you need some new gear to seal the deal. From vests to medical kits, there are tons of items you can use to your advantage. Below is our list of the 25 best items in PUBG and how to get them.

25 Would You Like Eggs With That?

Someone comes into your home to do you harm, and you have no recourse. You are not armed, and you are not near any weapons. Nicely enough, you happen to be in the kitchen with a hot frying pan on the stove. Grab it and go to town. Its usefulness in PUBG is pretty understated.

If you do not have a gun, this thing can save you in close quarters.

The frying pan is considered to be one of the hidden gems in PUBG. Not only does it do a lot of melee damage (besides just using a fist) but it can block bullets. When not equipped it is located on the player’s back and can protect the lower back area.  Players can find them strewn across the floor in homes.

24 One (Or Two) And Done

via youtube.com (Aldo Da Galera)

There is something vicious about a shotgun. Unlike a submachine gun or assault rifle, a good shotgun can get the job done with one shot.  The S686 is a double barrel shotgun that allows players to finish off enemies in at most two shots. Most of the times these guns can even take out heavily armored individuals.

It is unforgiving and can put a hole in any unsuspecting enemy.

So, be on the lookout if you have a level three vest or helmet because you are not automatically safe with this thing.  The easiest way to obtain this shotgun is to search it out among the other weapons on Spawn Island, so put on your running shoes if you want this gun. Its reputation precedes itself.

23 No Pesky Recoil

via playerunknownsbattlegroundsguide.com

If you are trying to make it to the end, this gun is one of the best to use to ensure you have a chance. The SCAR-L is an assault rifle that is considered to be one of the most powerful in the game. Even though this gun packs a punch and can do a lot of damage, players will not have to deal with a ridiculous recoil. This is excellent news for those who struggle with accuracy. It is also an automatic rifle with good medium range. It is likely located on Spawn Island or one of the high loot locations in Pochinki, Yasnaya Polyana, or the School. Again, this is likely to be a favorite weapon with others so be on the lookout for it.

22 Too Fast…Too Furious…

via pcgamer.com

While this vehicle can be unpredictable, motorcycles are still a fuel-efficient way to get around the maps. They are lightweight, and can even be used to ride through homes and buildings. If people are feeling lucky, they can even attempt to ride roof-to-roof (which takes a lot of patience and practice for those willing to put in the work). They are also easier to get off of if the vehicle is damaged in some way.

Honestly, who doesn’t want to do a stunt highlight reel around the map?

This thing can pull off some impressive trick shots that would look great on screenshots. Either way, if players know how to use it, it can be used to an advantage. They can be found in garages around the map.

21 Take Away The Pain, Anyone?

via dotesports.com

Painkillers are one of the most effective medical items in the game. Not only do they regenerate health over six seconds (the third most rapid in the game) they can also increase running speed temporarily and boost health by 60.

As a result, health can gradually increase over 75.

These items can be found anywhere on the map, and they are more likely located in the backpacks of other people (so make sure to look out for bodies to loot them) or inside the bathrooms and kitchens of homes around the map. Guns and other weapons are essential, but you will not get very far if you do not have some first aid on your person, so keep an eye out for pills.

20 A Little Inspiration From Daft Punk?

via gamesradar.com

So, what do French electronic group and the Russian military have in common? They totally share a taste for the Spetsnaz Helmet. The developers of PUBG also gained a liking for the headgear and put the helmet in the game, a smart move as it is a valuable commodity.

It is powerful and can help players in a pinch.

The Spetsnaz Helmet is based off the Russian Rhys-T Helmet. It reduces harm up to 55 percent and is level three. It will protect the person wearing it up until the last point of durability. It can be found in military loot zones and care packages. It is likely a rare find and will take some intense looting to grab, but the benefits seem to outweigh the cons.

19 Can You Say “Overpowered?”

via bestpubg.com

The AWM sniper rifle is insane. If you are a PUBG fanboy (or girl) you have likely heard about this gun, and have done everything in your power to get it (with good reason). It has the highest hit range of sniper rifles, has the second highest bullet speed, and is known as a “monster firearm,” in the game. Unfortunately, It can currently only be found in air drops. So, as you see those crates fall from the sky, get your racing shoes on to get there as fast as you can. You never know when an AWM can show up. Put an extended mag on this thing, and you will rule the map, getting ever closer to enjoying that succulent “chicken dinner.”

18 The Eye Of An Eagle

via playerunknownsbattlegroundsguide.com

Let’s set the scene. The group has whittled down to the last ten. It is the first time you have ever made it this far, and you almost don’t know what to do. You know that you need to seek cover so you can get the drop on someone else. So, you walk into a building, but before you can get in a good, a bullet goes straight through your cranium…you didn’t even see it coming.

You Will Regret Being On The Wrong Side Of This One

This is what it means to be on the wrong side of the 15x PM Scope II. The 15x PM Scope II is the most potent magnification attachment in the game. It magnifies up to 12 times and can help players take out enemies from high or obscure points in the game. It can only be found in air drops.

17 Hyped On Adrenaline

via thegameslashers.com

You just mistakenly rode your motorcycle off a hill and ended up in a collision. You need health, and you don’t have a lot of options. You may think a med kit or first aid kit is your only option for health regeneration, but the generous developers of PUBG decided to add in more ways for you to heal yourself in the game. The Adrenaline Syringe can help out players in a pinch. The syringe can instantly increase a player’s health by 100 and takes eight seconds to cast. So try to be in a place where you are out of sight so you can finish the load time for the syringe. They can only be found in military crate drops, so theyUniversale.

16 Universal Maschinewhat?

via youtube.com (Nuclear Pan)

This gun may have the weirdest name in the game, but do not let it fool you. It can do some considerable damage to enemies (and you if you are not careful). The UMP9 is the Universale Maschinenpistole and is a submachine gun.

It deals the second highest damage out of all the submachine guns and has a very controllable recoil.

Unlike the Tommy Gun (which cannot have any attachments), this weapon has a wide range of accessories to handle recoil and stealth. Good news for this one, It can be found through looting in the environment, so you don’t have to depend on air drops. This gun is a real-life favorite of the police and governmental agencies, so you are in some exciting company with this weapon.

15 Dodge The Body Shots

via indieobscura.com

To make your way through the game, it is not just about having the most extensive weapons; you also have to grab some body armor. Now, you will have to balance weight with protection in the game, but it is a good idea to make sure your body is protected. The Level Two Police Vest will shield ballistic weapon shots up to 40 percent regardless of durability. It has a 70 hold capacity, and with a utility belt, it can increase the holding capacity by up to 200. The weight of the vest is at least 30 pounds less than the military vest which makes it easier for players to move around. This vest can be found through looting around the hot spots on the island.

14 A Cocktail Fit For Battle

via youtube.com (IAmNifty)

Everyone knows that when they see someone go into their pocket and pull out a bottle with a cloth sticking out of it, something terrible is going to happen. While they might not be as strong as frag grenades in the game, The Molotov Cocktail is great for shutting down various areas, so enemies have nowhere to go.

A Perfect Weapon For Strategy

Not only can it set enemies on fire, but it can also block off corridors, stairs, or homes as a result of the boundary of the blast creating an elimination opportunity or a getaway for the player. If you are a strategic player that likes to bait enemies into traps, the Molotov Cocktail is a must-have. These cocktails can likely be found in homes throughout the island, so keep your eyes peeled.

13 Wowza Groza!

via playerunknownsbattlegroundsguide.com

Now, while these are some of the overall weapons in the game by our standards, everyone has a different playstyle. If you like to lurk and use stealth, a sniper rifle will probably make more sense for you. However, if you are totally fine with bulldozing your way through the map and comfortable with close or mid-range contact, then this gun is probably the best bet for you. The Groza assault rifle is a Russian rifle that is one of the most powerful in the game. It can do a lot of damage rapidly and has the second highest fire rate of all the assault rifles, only bested by the M16A4. It can only be found in air drops, so again you gotta keep your eye out for those crates in the sky.

12 Get In The Trenches With The S1897

via artstation.com

If there were any weapon you wanted in a pinch, it would be the S1897. If it was good enough for soldiers who were confined to trenches, then it is good enough for you to stake out behind a doorway to take someone out. The S1897 is known as “The Trench Gun” because of its use in the trenches of world wars.

It is a powerful shotgun that is good at clearing house quickly and easily.

As always with shotguns, you have to balance fire rate with impact, but if you enjoy a one-and-done battle and your aim is on point then take a look at the S1897. This gun can likely be found on Spawn Island, so make sure you have your running shoes on to beat the competition.

11 Rule The Medium Range

via laguplanet.tk

Again, this is for those who enjoy jumping right in to take out an enemy. Stealth isn’t your thing, and you got to the final ten by eliminating the competition instead of just hiding in buildings. For you, you need an assault rifle that will carry you to the finish line, and the AUG A3 could be the answer for you. The AUG A3 Assault Rifle has a pretty good recoil and is incredible at taking out people at medium range. Not all guns come with the features you need so, the AUG A3 also has a wide range of attachments that players can take advantage of to create an even more powerful gun. This gun is rare and can only be found in air drops.

10 Take Em Out From Afar

via moddb.com

If you are playing a first-person shooter or any war-themed game, you have likely used Frag Grenades. It is an intelligent decision as they can really take out enemies. Frag grenades are an excellent addition to this game. These grenades can flush them out of a hiding place or even kill them on the spot with the debris released from the bomb. It can be the difference between being in the final 10 or being in the last five as it can take out a decent range of enemies within a small space. The Molotov Cocktail will flush out the enemy, and frag grenades will seal the deal. They are also helpful to depend on if a gun is not available. These can be found through looting other players and in buildings.

9 A Faithful Shooter For Every Situation

via youtube.com (ConCon 2.0)

In an ideal world, you would be able to get every gun you wanted. However, the world of PUBG is vicious, and there are a lot of factors that will prevent you from getting the weapon you want.

Sometimes, you have to improvise and make do with that you have.

So, let’s talk about one of the most underrated melee items in the game. Players may sleep on the crowbar, but it is a melee weapon that has gotten many a player through various precarious situations. It is a reliable weapon that can catch any unarmored player off guard. If a gun is not available, like the pan, it can get someone out of a pinch. They can be found in homes and buildings.

8 Get The Most Bang For Your Buck

via youtube.com (Cankerous Nigov)

Even great guns need some attachments to make the even better. If players had their pick they would mix the best qualities of each gun. Unfortunately, the only way this can be done is through adding attachments and modifications to firearms. The Extended Quick Draw Mag for AWM, Mini-14 and other rifles is definitely a must-have for players. It decreases reload duration by 30 percent and increases the mag size by two for two of the most powerful guns in the game. Again, these guns are powerful in their right, but having an attachment like an extended mag could mean the difference between making it to the final 10 and final five. So be on the lookout for attachments in airdrops, you never know when what you need will come around.

7 Under Siege

via youtube.com (luxxiz)

Alright, so these last entries are the game changers. They are the weapons, armors, and consumables that will hopefully get you to the final five so you have an even higher chance of making it to that chicken dinner. One of the items that you need to try and grab at least midway through the game is a level three military vest.

Use armor that real-life fighters use!

The level three military vest blocks against 55 percent of damage even to the last point of durability. It has 70 hold capacity and does have an increase in weight. These can be found in high loot areas throughout the map. As you get closer to the end, other players have likely found powerful weapons, so being armored up is more than necessary.

6 Saving Private You…

via youtube.com (Kyvalcado)

Continuing the theme of military equipment, if you cannot get your hands on the Spetsnaz helmet, then the level two military helmet is the next best thing. As stated above, as the game goes on resources will be scarce as the play area decreases and other players begin to loot popular areas. A Spetsnaz may not be possible to grab, so be sure to be on the lookout for a level two helmet that can at least give some sort of protection. It reduces damage by 40 percent and is ten pounds lighter than the Spetsnaz helmet which is a nice benefit. These can be found through looting bodies and in buildings. Head protection is a thousand times better than not having anything at all.
