PUBG Mobile has unexpectedly teamed up with The Great British Teddy Bear Company to launch a few new cosmetics that are available right now through to July 22.

There's a GB Teddy Bear set, cover, ornament, and parachute, with Robin Hood Teddy Bear and Sherlock Holmes Teddy Bear as in-game buddies. If you fancy making the adrenaline rush of winning a chicken dinner a little cuter, then this should help.

There are a bunch of new tasks that you can complete to unlock cotton that is used to make GB Teddy Bears which, when collected, will unlock in-game rewards exclusive to the event. You can participate right now as the event went live today.

To celebrate, GB Teddy Bear even uploaded a new trailer showing their bears in the battle royale frenzy, boasting the iconic Spetsnaz helmet. Sherlock stumbles on some clues with Robin Hood in tow and the two try to uncover who messed up the house just to find the PUBG player darting out the front door. It's oddly cute for such a violent and intensive game.

If you're not from Britain or just haven't heard about the company, you might be a little confused about who exactly this collab is with. The Great British Teddy Bear Company was founded in 2002 and has since gone viral among the Hollywood elite and even the royal family, with its range becoming sought-after collector's items. To call it a bizarre and unexpected team-up is an understatement. But if you like teddy bears and PUBG, then you might find something to enjoy in this new event.

In other PUBG news, Dead Space spiritual successor The Callisto Protocol is no longer set in its universe. It was originally announced to be expanding on the PUBG world but that idea has since been dropped in favour of its own independent world and story, giving the team more freedom to explore their own narrative. You won't see any Spetsnaz helmets.
