The PUBG: New State trailer has leaked online ahead of a scheduled embargo. This comes courtesy of PlayerIGN, a well-known PUBG insider and someone who's not bound by something as trivial as an embargo. The trailer isn't really all that exciting--just 15 seconds of some anarchic-lookin' PUBG players. What's special here is the release date: November 11, 2021, on Apple's App Store, Google Play, and Samsung's Galaxy Store.

"We are next-gen battle royale," reads PUBG: New State's slogan. And in this case, next-gen doesn't really refer to the platform. PUBG: New State is getting a graphics overhaul along with new mechanics like dodging, drone calls, a ping system, radio messages, deployable shields, and weird new weapons and vehicles from the year 2051.

In PUBG: New State, players fight in the fictional city of Troi, which has recently seen its society crumble. There’s no government, so everyone is just running around with machine guns looting and pillaging--hence all the anarchy symbols you see everywhere.

PUBG owner Krafton said previously that New State already has 40 million pre-registrants, which means it'll be a fairly popular game when it releases in November.

In other PUBG news, regular old PUBG: Battlegrounds is celebrating Halloween with a new game mode courtesy of PUBG Labs. Halloween Battle Royale is the same battle royale game as always, but with a few twists.

First, players board a ghost ship to arrive on a creepified version of Erangel. Second, players pick one of four fantasy-inspired classes each with their own class abilities. The Executioner is a melee-focused class with a dash attack, while the Ranger starts the game with a powerful long-range crossbow weapon. The Pyromancer throws explosive fireballs, while the Cleric heals themself by shooting enemies and heals teammates by shooting them.

There are also creepy blimps, jeeps, and other surprises in store for battle royale fans. Halloween Battle Royale is around until November 1.
