Like most games based on One Piece, One Piece Odyssey wraps up fairly cleanly. The bad guy is beaten, the new friends send the Straw Hats off with a smile, and there are no major status quo changes to the world that would complicate its canonicity. Or at least, not for the most part.

However, there are a few little quirks in Odyssey's ending that leave us with some questions and concerns. It wouldn't be a One Piece story, canon or otherwise, if it didn't have at least some kind of implications for the setting at large, we suppose.

7 Are The Five Elders Done With Waford?

The Five Elders discuss the Straw Hats in One Piece Odyssey

From the very moment the Straw Hats approached Waford, the Five Elders, leaders of the World Government, had their proverbial eye on them. They had round-the-clock updates on the Straw Hats' progress on breaking the seal on the Divine Breath, right down to the moment they defeated each Colossus. Obviously, the Five Elders had some manner of plan for Waford and the Divine Breath, so we can't help but wonder if their gaze is still on the island.

Adio may have taken the remains of the Divine Breath of the island, but the remains of the various weather and phenomenon research labs are still up and running throughout the island, as far as we know. Most Blue Sea dwellers don't know much about Sky Island technology, particularly weather-manipulation like Nami uses, so the World Government may still be interested in Waford.

6 Would The Marines Send Another Buster Call?

Akainu prepares to attack the Straw Hats in One Piece Odyssey

Generally speaking, the Marines are sore losers, especially with Sakazuki currently at the helm. Even before then, though, the Buster Call was supposed to be an order of absolute destruction, to the point that the Marines absolutely razed their own property, Enies Lobby. With that in mind, what exactly is preventing the Marines from just ordering another Buster Call after Adio leaves?

Granted, the initial Buster Call order came from the Five Elders, so if they don't put in another, maybe the Marines wouldn't bother using up the resources. But given the state of the Marines around the point Odyssey takes place, it wouldn't be far-fetched for a single hair-triggered higher-up to make the call again out of perceived obligation or something.

5 Can Adio Repair The Divine Breath?

Adio flies away on the Divine Breath in One Piece Odyssey

The Straw Hats did quite a number on the Divine Breath during the fight with Adio. By the end, it looked like it was barely even able to keep itself afloat, and certainly not in a travel-convenient way considering Adio was just hanging off of it as he left Waford. Presumably, Adio is planning to use it as a personal transport, but would he be able to restore its functions?

Before Luffy beats the snot out of him for the last time, Adio mentions wanting to seek out other ancient weapons he could use to restart his world-destruction plans. He's definitely not wrong; there's no shortage of dangerous tchotchkes floating out in the Blue Seas, but if he's planning on a World Destruction Tour, he's going to need to either fix up the Divine Breath or convert it into something more seaworthy.

4 How Did Adio Force Lim To Fracture Herself?

Adio stands in front of the Divine Breath in One Piece Odyssey

Adio mentions during his confrontation with the Straw Hats that, when he originally arrived at Waford and met Lim, he forced her to use her powers to fracture her own memories, so he could manipulate her more easily. How did Adio actually do that, though?

Adio says that he used his Grab-Grab powers, but Adio himself said that they can only control machinery or weak-minded animals, so that doesn't make sense. The only other explanation is that Adio took her by surprise somehow, but since memory manipulation is Lim's ability, how could he force or trick her to turn it on herself like that?

3 How Long Was The Other Lim In The Divine Breath?

The other Lim emerges from a capsule in One Piece Odyssey

According to the red-eyed Lim who was inside the Divine Breath (whom we will refer to as "Other Lim" for the sake of convenience), she was the priestess of Waford's tribe when the Divine Breath was created. Apparently, she enclosed herself in the device when it first went haywire in an effort to keep it under control, creating the Lim we know to serve as an external avatar of sorts.

The timeline of Waford's fall and the scattering of its people is very murky, but it was probably more than 14 years ago, i.e. Lim's age according to her in-game profile. Exactly how long was Other Lim encased in the Divine Breath's capsule, and how did she survive in there?

2 Does Other Lim Not Have A Name?

The red-eyed Lim smiles in One Piece Odyssey

This is perhaps a minor point, but it's one we can't help but dwell on: does Other Lim really not have a different name? In fairness, she is technically the real Lim while the Lim we know is just an avatar, so if anyone would have a different name, it would be the latter. In spite of that, though, all the Straw Hats just call both of them "Lim."

Does it not get confusing having two identical-looking people with the same name hanging around? One of them could at least pick a nickname or something. Even after the Straw Hats leave, the Lims are still living with all the Eisas and Yoisas; surely they could do with a little recognition assistance?

1 Is Lim Going To Be Okay By Herself?

The two Lims wave goodbye to the Straw Hats in One Piece Odyssey

Assuming Lim is actually ageless, she was probably living on Waford for a while before Adio showed up, which implies that she knows how to take care of herself. However, that was before Adio fractured her. Given her generally innocent perspective, she doesn't really seem like someone who knows how to take care of herself.

She does have Other Lim and the island's critters to help her, but Other Lim has been living in a box for who-knows-how-long and the critters are, well, literal animals. Waford seems relatively abundant and the critters like her, so food and safety aren't a huge problem, but there's always the risk of pirate attacks, especially with Waford's storm gone. It might not have been the best idea to leave her alone...
