Rainbow Six Siege streamer Jessica Bolden, also known as JessGOAT, has stated that she is no longer planning on streaming Siege due to the endless abuse she has endured while playing the game.

“If you’ve been watching me recently, you will have seen that it’s become almost impossible for me to stream in the Oceanic region. Toxicity is a nightmare. If you were watching today, I got threatened with severe sexual assault. The N-word was raining left, right and center,” the Australian streamer tweted.

“It’s gotten to the point where I can’t play this very easily on stream. It’s very hard to keep it together when every game you either have someone refusing to play as a team and inciting toxic behavior… It’s become almost impossible to stream this game without feeling like it’s taking a toll on me.”

The 25-year-old coach, analyst and commentator recently worked for Samsung Morning Stars but steeped down due to travel visa issues. She has also spearheaded the organization of the CCS Women's League. Highly regarded for her knowledge of the online tactical shooter, Bolden has reaffirmed her love for the game, but says she needs a change.

A transcript of Bolden’s statement that was posted on HotSpawn read, "I started to worry that some of the insults were so egregious that I was providing content that might be a trigger to my wonderful community. All the while I sat in front of my camera and microphone and grinned through the unbearable mental and emotional exhaustion that these broadcasts left me with."

Fellow Siege streamer Parker ‘Interro’ Mackay, the host of Six On Six and a former professional Call of Duty player, has backed Bolden’s claims, saying that “the past 6 to 8 months have been the absolute worst for streaming/playing R6.”

Although she will no longer be streaming Siege, Bolden hasn’t ruled out streaming other FPS games instead. In a tweet last night, she wrote, “Due to some upcoming Valorant casting opportunities, we will be spending a bit of March grinding this fresh FPS. I'll be live tonight with it in about 12 hours from now. I've missed you all, see you then.”
