Apex Legends is about to get ranked arena play. The news comes courtesy of Respawn founder and general manager Vince Zampella and Apex Legends game director Chad Grenier during today’s EA Play Live 2021 Spotlight.

Arenas first arrived with Season 9 as a new 3v3 game mode. Rather than teams of three battling it out in a giant battle royale map, smaller maps pit matched teams against each other in fast and furious combat.

The 3v3 mode has proven to be quite popular, so coming in Season 10, Ranked Arenas will let players take each other down in a truly competitive environment.

Neither Respawn exec gave any details to how Ranked Arenas would work, and neither did they let on when Season 10 would drop. They did confirm that a new hero is coming in Season 10 and that he’ll be male, but that’s about it.

In the meantime, the upcoming Thrillseekers event runs from July 13 to August 3 and brings a new weekly event pass specifically for Apex’s Arena mode. Get enough points to get a new Rampart skin, Apex Packages, Battle Pass boosters, and more.
