Acting as a sequel to Pokemon Colosseum (a title so beloved that you'll see it in our list of the rarest GameCube games, but not for quite a while), Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness brings players into the Orre region again roughly five years after the events of Pokemon Colosseum.

Shadow Lugia is causing quite a few problems on behalf of Cipher, and the game follows Michael as he takes on Cipher admins trying to get to the bottom of the Shadow Pokemon. The final game in the Pokemon series to releasee on GameCube, you'll need quite a bit of cash to grab this dark piece of history.

14 Chibi-Robo!

Chibi-Robo is something of a success story of the modern age - the game didn't sell particularly well upon its release and was relegated to the backs of TV cabinets everywhere, but it's become a coveted collector's item since for its quirkiness, its charming visual style, and its lovable main character.

The game wasn't worth much at all until 2015, when it picked up more steam than it possibly ever had in its life. Nowadays, you'll need to really want to spend some time with this cute little robot friend if you intend to pick up Chibi-Robo.

11 Cubivore: Survival Of The Fittest

Cubivore: Survival of the Fittest was a Japan-only release from Nintendo until another developer, the now much more acclaimed Atlus, picked up the game and localized it to be released in other regions.

In Cubivore, the player controls the titular Cubivore that eats other animals and creatures in order to change, evolve, and become stronger. New copies of Cubivore have both dropped and rose in value on the resale market since 2010.

10 Wario World K-Mart Edition

Though it's now a shell of what it once was, K-Mart used to be a department store all across the US, akin to the Walmarts and Targets we know today. And in 200X, K-Mart carried a version of Wario World with an official Nintendo Power player's guide inside.

9 Gotcha Force

Gotcha Force is a fighting and shooting game focused on collecting gachapon toys, and then using them to battle throughout the game. The game wasn't heavily advertised when it was released, leading it to be less than successful commercially. Still, the game has quite a number of fans to this day and although it was re-released in Japan, the game is still really rare in North America.

Just getting a copy of the disc will set a hardcore GameCube collector back over $100, but many collectors want a new and complete copy of the games they pick up, which will cost the hefty sum above.

With so many sports games releasing on so many consoles, an odd basketball title may strike you as odd, but officially-licensed sports games seem to increase in rarity as time goes on, and console generations march forward.

A big factor behind this game's rarity is the fact that it uses the term "college hoops" in-game, while most basketball games of the time (even within the same franchise) used "college basketball." This one-word difference can net you a pretty penny nowadays.

7 Go! Go! Hypergrind

Go! Go! Hypergrind is a skateboarding game developed in Japan, but which never actually saw a release in that region. In the game, an animation studio is holding a contest to find the future star of their new cartoon, and the player controls a hopeful skateboarder who wants to star in the series.

6 Pokemon Colosseum Pre-Order

Pokemon Colosseum was a victorious expansion of a classic formula. It included burgeoning new locales, more animated character models, and the aptly named Shadow Pokemon. It really felt like a step in the right direction, and one that Genius Sorority took very seriously.

Multiple forms of this game have been released. A bonus disc was made to give you Jirachi, sponsoring the movie. The pre-order disc gave you the same deal. The listings only started to appear online around 2019, and have become even harder to come by since.

5 Super Monkey Ball Two-Pack

Super Monkey Ball 2 Pack is a bundle package of two different Super Monkey Ball games for the Nintendo GameCube. This bundle contains the Players' Choice editions of both Super Monkey Ball and its sequel, Super Monkey Ball 2.

This game is incredibly rare, and even just finding a copy for sale is difficult. A few have turned up on the market over the years, but they don't come up often, and they definitely don't go for cheap. If you manage to find a new copy of this exceedingly rare bundle, be prepared to pay $1,500.
