Ubisoft has revealed that Rayman Mini is coming to Apple Arcade, and could well be released as soon as today.

It's starting to feel as if everything old is now new again. Movies, TV shows, and yes, video games, are all being remade and remastered almost as fast as we can keep up with them. Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Final Fantasy VII, even Dinsey classics The Lion King and Aladdin will have landed on today's consoles by the end of October.

No matter how many remasters we get, we'll always be questioning why others haven't been added to the ever-increasing list. For us, we're here wondering why we haven't seen Rayman return. The Ubisoft creation first entered our lives all the way back in 1995 on the PS1, and we would love to see that game tweaked and re-released for today's gamers.

We're not getting that, but we are getting the next best thing. A brand new Rayman game on Apple Arcade, Rayman Mini. As you can see from the trailer below, it is as visually stunning as you would expect from a 21st century Rayman creation. Other than what you can see in said trailer, we know very little about the title right now. It's slated as 'coming soon' but might well be on Apple Arcade already, which launches today.

We're assuming that, like other Rayman titles on mobile, Rayman Mini is a runner style game. We're making that assumption based on the fact that the game's protagonist doesn't stop running and jumping for the entire trailer. If so, Ubisoft has revealed we will have 48 stunning levels to run through. Plus, the game will include old bosses and other playable characters from Rayman's past.

We haven't even hit you with the best news of all yet. As mentioned above, this won't be Rayman's first foray onto mobile. He has been here before, but this time is different. Since Rayman Mini will be an Apple Arcade exclusive, the game will not require players to spend money in order to progress. The game will also be free of ads, unlike previous Rayman mobile games. Fingers crossed 'coming soon' means very soon, and maybe even today.
