Razer hardware is now compatible with Alexa so you can start an RGB party whenever you want.

Alexa can play video games. Alexa can play board games. And now, Alexa can play with your computer peripherals because it’s 2020 and Alexa is our new god.

For whatever reason, Amazon and Razer have teamed up to bring Alexa compatibility to Razer’s cloud-based hardware configurator, Razer Synapse 3. There’s no additional hardware to install or software to tweak. The new Alexa module in Synapse 3 lets you set up your Chroma-compatible smart home devices to accept voice commands.

This means you can have Alexa turn up your PC volume, open a browser, or change your entire RGB setup. You can also ask Alexa for real-time news, weather updates, fiddle with your Smart Home controls, or access Alexa skills all from your PC’s microphone.

Or you can set up a personal voice-activated rave party. Because it’s 2020 and the coronavirus lockdown has us just this amount of crazy.

Like I said, there’s nothing to download, so if you’ve got an Alexa and are already a Razer customer, then you can do this madness right now.
