It’s CES, which unlike previous years, is taking place entirely online. Major tech manufacturers are all releasing pleasant vignettes of their latest wares, including Razer. Their RGB-enabled face mask will ensure you don’t catch COVID and also convince everyone around you that you’re a walking rave, while their more practical gaming chair will actually enhance your gaming experience in a very big way.

Razer calls it Project Brooklyn, and it’s a gaming chair unlike any other. The big selling point is the fold-away 60-inch OLED curved screen that extends from the chair’s spine and then deploys in front of the gamer’s head like a giant visor. When gaming is over, the screen folds back up and tucks away back into the chair for storage.

You can see the screen in action playing MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, the perfect game for the cockpit-style chair.

But as they say, that’s not all. Project Brooklyn also has a fold-out keyboard and mouse tray that normally resides inside the chair’s arms. In the leather-stitched back is Razer’s Hypersense Technology, an audio-activated tactile response system that’s basically a giant rumbler for your chair.

A built-in cable router runs all your cables out the back without any fear of getting tangled, and the whole thing is made out of light but strong carbon fiber.

“Project Brooklyn is an exciting concept developed on the true essence of a fully immersive gaming station,” said Min-Liang Tan. “The haptic feedback, visuals and overall functional design with attention to ergonomics will deliver a one-of-a-kind gameplay experience.”

Razer didn't list a price or a release date, but they did make it seem like it'd be a cheaper option than most all-in-one gamer chairs that are currently on the market. Although, with a 60-inch curved AND extending OLED screen, that seems a little hard to believe.

CES 2021 is on now and runs until Thursday. For more cool new gamer toys, check out HyperX’s new offerings coming later in 2021.
