Who doesn't love the sweet, tart taste of a ripe raspberry? While they're not particularly filling, they are one of the many foods you can count on in a pinch while exploring the wilderness in Red Dead online. Well, that is if you know where to find them. Just like everything else Rockstar has included in its recreation of the world in the old west, raspberry bushes look just like their real life counterparts, but not many people are familiar with these plants in the modern day. If you are struggling to get a pocket full of raspberries, here's how to find and farm them for more than just a tasty snack.

How To Find And Farm Raspberries

Raspberries, for those unaware, grow on tall green bushes both in Red Dead Online and in real life. And when we say tall, we mean tall. These bushes are nearly as tall as your fully grown character. When out foraging for them, you'll be better off looking for the much larger bushes than the tiny red specks of the berries themselves.

Your first spot to go out hunting berries will not be in Strawberry like you might hope, but in New Hanover between Valentine and Citadel Rock. The bushes are very common in the Heartlands region, but there are usually a good number of bushes to pick if you ride up to Citadel Rock or towards Emerald Ranch. In the other direction, you could come across some on your way to Flatneck Station, but don't go much beyond it.

The other two areas raspberries are fairly common are in Grizzlies East and Big Valley. Grizzlies East is a large area to the far Northeast with not the most friendly terrain, so while there are plenty of berries to be plucked there, it may not be as time efficient. Big Valley, in the North of West Elizabeth, is much easier to navigate. Just ride on through, using your Eagle Eye to help highlight any plants, and you'll come across these red little devils soon enough.

What To Use Raspberries For

Aside from being a quick and easy snack to restore some of your Health Core, there are a few other reasons you will want to keep some raspberries on hand. First off, you never know when you might need it for a quest. Tracking down plants for a daily can be a major drag if you'd rather be doing something more exciting. Another use is one of the secondary ingredients to craft a Predator Bait item. By combining one raspberry with one stringy meat you can create a bait to lure in any normal predators in the area.

Finally, if you're really strapped for cash, you can pawn off your raspberries for a quarter each. In the end, though, you're probably better off hanging on to them as a snack.
